"My spouse and I went to breakfast on a Saturday morning. The service was perfectly fine; the restaurantwas clean, and even the restrooms smelled great. Unfortunately, the food didn't match. I had the pineapple upside down pancake breakfast, with scrambled eggs, sausage and tater tots; with their homemade coconut syrup. The syrup strongly reminded me of suntan lotion; it was such a strong smell, but little taste. The pancakes were ok; very thin, but where the pineapple rings and cherries were, seemed very undercooked...mushy at best. The eggs were all right. The sausage tasted like old oil. The bright spot were the tater tots; super crispy, but needed some sort of seasoning. Spouse had the French toast with chicken, an tater tots. He says the French toast was all right, but not outstanding; and agreed with me about the tater tots. One of the chicken katsu tasted and was cooked just fine; the other piece tasted old and was not as warm as the other piece. We both had coffee; he had a regular, and I had the hazelnut blend. We both agreed...the coffee was just bad. Neither one of us drank more than half a cup...even doctoring with cream and sugar couldn't make it taste any better. All in all, we'll give this place a pass next time we are in Fleming Island."
