"Well.....I am not that black person that would ever play the race card BECAUSE I am a black man, happily married for 37 years to my beautiful white wife but today's visit to Schlotzsky's 862 in Flower Mound, really felt that way. The young man that took my order was very nice and customer service oriented when he took my order. As I waited, I noticed how welcoming and nice the other young man and young lady working in the front, were being with 4 other customers that came in and left, as I waited for my order to be completed. I noticed that these customers were greeted and as they left, were told thank you and have a good day. My order was finally completed, placed on the counter, and the buzzer I was holding was activated. As I walked up to the counter to get my order, neither of the 2 workers said a word to me. The person that placed my order on the counter had walked away. Both of the previously mentioned workers, that had given the other customers such good service, were standing there and never said a word to me. I stood there for at least 30 seconds, thinking that they would at least greet me and give me my order but I received nothing. I am a hard-working, black man and since we have lived in the Corinth area, that was only the 2nd time that I have ever felt that the color of my skin mattered. My wife and I have been to this location several times but as of today, we will be going the further distance to the Lewisville location. I can say that our order was correct and very tasty as usual. I only give this review to let management and the public know that that the world is changing but not fast enough."

"This was our first time at Gabriela and Sofia?s, trying on a recommendation, we were NOT disappointed! The staff were all friendly and our server, Isri, (my apologies if I misspelled that) was amazing. I had questions aplenty and curiosities thatwere both menu and non menu related. He was knowledgeable, helpful and offered honest opinions about a few options that wereavailable. In addition, we didn?t have to ask for refills, he was on top of that the entire time. This dining experience was avast and welcome improvement from that of the one we had at ?Chante?, and it restored my soul. The chips, mashed black beans andtwo different salsas brought to the table were flavorful and well presented. We also ordered the chili con queso with groundbeef added, the small cup size was plenty for the two of us and we still had left overs. The chicken tortilla soup, which wasboth well seasoned and HOT, was an improvement to previously sampled soups of the past. To often soup has received warm at best, needing to be heated up. Not this time! We had fajitas, he ordered the ribeye fajitas and I, the traditional. Both versions comewith bell pepper, onion and fried potato slices. Additionally, the ribeye fajitas came with a gratuitous amount of extraveggies; spinach, mushrooms, sliced green and yellow zucchini, as well and carrot pieces. The refried beans and rice are notover seasoned, we?re served at a good temperature and tasted great, even at the end of the night. He asked for ?The Diablo?salsa which does not normally come with the meal, but we do like spicy food. This variety of salsa was not overwhelmingly spicyand maintained a great flavor. As to our experience at this establishment: The quality and quantity of the food was worth boththe price and the drive from Denton. My parents are visiting this weekend and we plan on taking them there for breakfast. ToGabriela and Sofia?s, Thank you!"
