"We went to Maria’s to try it, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone try it. Our waitress was new, and was really nice. However, she had no idea what was on tap for beers, or what was in the Seafood Combo. I also had to ask more than once to refill my water. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops for an appetizer, which thank goodness we did, because we waited almost an hour and a half for our entrees. We went on a Tuesday.. and there was one other couple in the restaurant. (The bacon wrap scallops were deep fried.... which we weren’t expecting, and weren’t impressed with. It wouldn’t take much more effort to bake it... Our entree’s arrived finally and were not worth the wait. My husbands mash potatoes had clearly sat and then were microwaved to reheat, and still arrived cold, although the poor waitress burned her hand on the plate which I felt bad about. The potato’s were a mix of real potato and powdered mash potatoes. I had ordered the shrimp scampi, which could be served with either pasta, or a vegetable (a concept in and of itself it weird . I ordered the vegetable not realizing that it meant that I wouldn’t receive the pasta with my meal. However, The steamed frozen broccoli did not make up for the completely bland, inedible Shrimp Scampi sauce. The shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. The sauce tasted like it came from a can, and consisted of only Butter and cream, with no flavor whatsoever. The one thing they did do right was the steak, which was cooked to medium rare as requested. When the check came, the waitress ran my card and dropped the receipt off at the table with no pen. I got up to find her, or the bar tender for a pen so we could leave, and waited a good few minutes for any staff member to reenter the dining room. Overall, I paid almost $70 for a meal I could have picked up at the frozen food section of the grocery store. I wouldn’t recommend it"
