"Both the service and the food were missing very much. We sat in a back room where it was so cold that you had to eat practically with a coat. The waiting staff was very indifferent and aloof. The food was completely unsatisfactory. It took a long time to come (it was not busy, came overcooked, tasteless and cold. Steak ordered medium rare was well made and cold. Page of the Koleslaw tasted fault/fermented! trout dressed with crab meat had no crab meat and was completely overcooked, gumy and bland. Scallops were also overcooked, gummy, cold (not their theme here? We should get salads and they were never brought. When someone asked the waitress, said, “You did the request. We will not bring the salads if you do not ask.” So why are they included as with the Entrees in the menu? Baking potatoes contained no butter or acid cream. We had to ask, and then it took the waitress 15 minutes to come back and throw some packages on the table and go away, No desire to ever come back, and I can not recommend avoiding this place enough. We were not the only diners unsatisfactory. We heard other people at the nearby tables, who are the same complaints and even send food back to the indifference of the staff."

"A friend brought cookies to work one day and I was so happy with them and had to ask where they came from. I visited Ms. Angels about a week ago and was very pleased with my experience. The facility outside and inside is VERY welcoming and attracts you. I enjoyed the brightness of the decorations. Very striking for me and pleasant. Fresh muffins were brought out when I was there and when I asked what kind they were the woman who worked very politely, they answered me. There were numerous cakes, cakes and cookies to choose from. I got some Macaroons and a cookie decoration set for my children. The cookie kit was a hit with my children last weekend. We were very satisfied that the cookies, where also really good. I have some bad ingwerbread cookies before and was very happy that these were absolutely delicious! I will definitely go back to my next trip. I enjoyed my trip here to Mrs. Angel's heavenly Pies. I came back to my childhood bakery where I grew up in Marion, NC. It's always nice when I come across a business that has that real old fashion feels it too, and reminds me of home. The owner definitely has a good thing to go here and I hope that she and her family will see in business for many years. I often visit Mt. Airy when I have family in town and will come through any chance I can. Thank you. Mrs Angel is a wonderful experience and keep it as you are!!"

"our bmwcca group of 6 visited the wine tasting room for the first time. we were served by the first time tasting host jessica under the expert tutorial of sam. we all chose dry wine tasting. the weeping and their layers were good and interesting. jessica focused on our friendly and demanding group, while sam was always close to sharing her insight. they even expanded an invitation to lead the waiter among the stairs. the winzer tyler showed us and answered all asking. we look forward to a bigger group next summer."

"First, there should never be a thicker layer of cheese than there is crust. Pepperoni is not an excuse for pizza to have a puddle fat. I get LEDs in other places and they're delicious. Consistently disappointed by this Mount Airy location. Please learn the right cheese-crust ratio. Gross"

"I didn't take a picture. I had fried garnel, kartoffel and salate baked. I write this review for those who are looking for more honest review. I will not say that this is a place to die, but eating was good what I commanded that the rest of my party had peeled n eating garnel. the place was clean, the music was great, the service was perfect so much that I would go back. small square in a small town with great food and service. my servername was lakin, please forgive the spelling if I misunderstood it. they and that would make me come back."

"I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent, and our waiter was attentive and on top of everything. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that the overall atmosphere was quite quiet."

"My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner Friday around 4:00pm. We've been here several times over the last few years and have always had a pleasant experience. This time, it wasn't so pleasant. Our waitress came to take our drink order and we went ahead and ordered our appetizer. Our waitress wasn't very polite, it took 15 minutes before my drink arrived and the appetizer arrived before my drink. My husband ran out of his drink long before our waitress showed back up. We asked for the check after eating the appetizer, left and went to another restaurant down the road. Sad to say, but we won't be going back for awhile."

"dish was not prepared as pictured. the cheese that was supposed to be was almost unavailable. I was not asked if I wanted salat or rice and it should be a choice. the service is terrible. the bathroom was nasty. the cheese dip was not melted, he had a large glob unmelted cheese in it."

"We've been to Carterque at least a dozen times ever since they opened years ago, so it's plenty good enough for several visits a year. The meats are consistently good. This time I got the stuffed grilled cheese and it was a great combination of crisp, grilled bread, gooey mac and cheese and hearty pork. Add a few drops of BBQ sauce and it hit the spot. The one negative that compelled me to do a review this time is I think the cole slaw was food service grade, just like you'd get in a plastic tub at the grocery store. I think the slaw used to be house made and way better. Please return to fresh slaw! 4/5 ain't bad."

"I really enjoyed eating here. Nostalgie, friendly staff. This brought back some childhood memories that go to town and eat lunch with grandpa. I had an old fashion dbl Cheeseburger with Slav and Chili. It may not be for everyone, it is a southern thing. A very busy place, food was good, service was fast price was very reasonable. I would eat here again"

"Went in for lunch today 8/10 around 3:30, it was in between the lunch and dinner rush so the food and service were both good and quick. The host was a rockstar and we wanted to give her a shout out. She was very sweet and even caught us on our way out to give us our leftovers that we boxed but forgot on the table. Every trip to J&P has been a great customer experience with friendly staff but this employee was wonderful, thanks for making our day!"

"I went to Cryin' Johnnies with my wife and son on NYE. The first time there, but big things belong. My son had the Turkey Club, my wife had a Crabby dog, and I had a Bacon Cheddar dog with actually shrunk Cheddar. We shared bacon cheeseries and macaroni and cheese as sides. Absolutely everything was AMAZING. Most places have the cheese and bacon on top and nothing below. Not here. the cheese and the bacon were plentiful, and not just as a springboard. The Mac and the cheese were just the best we cost in Maryland. And my wife was very happy with Kabby dog. Service was exceptional to constantly check on us. Before I went to wash, and the bathroom was impeccable. Everyone who goes to a restaurant knows that a dirty bathroom is often a sign of a dirty kitchen... no worries here! We definitely go back and I would encourage everyone to try if you haven't!"

"This little resturant has a friendly staff with a clean and orderly atmosphere. I always ask the chef to make me whatever they feel like when it comes to sushi and this visit did not dissappint. The chef made me a personal creation dubbed, The Big Smokey, and it was exceedingly delicious. The prices are fair and the service is fast. I will definitely be paying them a visit again in the near future."

"Had wonderful service and delicious food. The smoked chicken sandwich was full of flavor with the added coleslaw, Carolina tangy sauce and pickle. The ribs were tender and the Hickory sweet sauce was the perfect addition. Loved the homemade chips, hush puppies and green beans. To top it off, our meals were reasonably priced. Highly recommend."

"Not a tremendous restaurant, but what they lack in space they make up for in variety and (more importantly) quality of the food and service. We started with the vegetable spring rolls, seafood dumplings and crying tiger (steak with very spicy sauce) all were excellent, especially the crab shrimp dumplings. We moved on to a well prepared shrimp penang curry, excellent chicken satay, and the best Pad Thai I've ever tasted. We hear that the American side of the menu"

"what a wonderful surprise. some friends told us about this place and they were absolutely right. this place embodies the small town nc. it is a burgerplatz, but so much more. we had cheeseburger, pommes and wobbles rings. one of the best burgers. the atmosphere is intimate and they may have to wait to get a place, but it is totally worth it. the service was excellent and the personal knew the master files with their first name. Don't let you fool yourself out. go in and eat 5 stars. we can't expect to go back."

"I love Mexican food, it's my favorite, and so far El Agavero is my favorite! They have some of the best food I've ever eaten. The prices are good and they are fast!! I have to update this review. I have since tried multiple Mexican restaurants in and surrounding Mt. Airy and El Agavero is STILL my favorite! This is the absolute best food! The prices has raised a bit but understandable with the economy inflation, but totally worth it, the food is exceptional, the drinks are the bomb baby! and the service top notch. The nicest employees! I love this place!"
