"The restaurant Alte Schwimmhalle am Schloss is located just below the castle in Plön. In addition to the tables in the indoor swimming pool, there is a large sun garden terrace. Especially the outdoor area with the somewhat terrassed terrain and partly quite loosely distributed wooden tables is very inviting. Inside I found it a little dark, with the dark tables and white tablecloths but still fine. But since the weather was still very nice I was happy that there were a few tables outside. The menu offers Dutch cuisine, the card is not overloaded and there are also a few additional dishes called by the operators in addition to daily changing daily meals. I choose the cucumber basil soup with tomato matjes-tatar (6,40€). With the soup you could choose whether you want to get them hot or cold. I chose warm. As the main dish with salad plate and roast potatoes with fresh North Sea crabs (19.30€). Instead of roast potatoes, I wanted to have potatoes on the map with another dish. This was not a problem and the wish was met. As dessert, I would have liked to have tasted the variation of berry fruits with vanilla caramel sauce and elderflower sorbet, but unfortunately I was too tired after the main course. The cutlery also made a greeting from the kitchen. A small sausage bread with cress, chives and tomatoes. A small Happs fresh and delicious. The soup didn't wait long. When she came, I was a little surprised, because I suspected that the Matjes-Tatar would be served à part. The plate with logo of the swimming pool came through all the ingredients in the colors white, red green therefore. Very nice with the almost sunken tomato slice and the whole basil leaves. For this purpose, a self-baked full grain baguette was sufficient that was still slightly warm. For me, the crumb could have been more damp, but tastefully good. The soup was very delicious and had a very good consistency. It was aromatic, however, dominated the Matjes very strongly, followed by the tomato, unfortunately, the basil and cucumber notes remained too strong for me in the background, except one catches a whole basil leaf. This is irritating because Gurke and Basilikum were the first to describe food. I think I would have been very happy if one had received the Tatar separately to be able to combine it with the soup or enjoy it separately. Now the main food arrived. The plaice completely filled the dish so that the potato pulp was served in a separate peel. There were plenty of crabs but also plentiful chives and spring bulb rings distributed over the two dishes. I love herbs, but that was something too much for me. The plaice was well baked, beautiful panade and very juicy meat inside. Maybe they could have been drained a little bit more on a kitchen crepe after roasting, then less fat would have landed on the plate. The mashed was very cute/buttrig and consisted of soft porridge and potato ragout (I don't know how they prepared this porridge, but since the tiny pieces of potatoes were small cubes, I suspect that these were cooked separately as a cube and then under the porridge I did not get served yet and is once a really different consistency. The Brei, was such a big portion that I didn't make it completely to eat it. Only when I was almost ready with the food, I noticed that the little salad that belonged to this dish was missing. When I noticed this at the staff, this was apologised and promised to take it off the bill. So did it. My drink worth 3.50€ was simply canceled. It must be. The service was attentive, the two operators might have been able to answer a little more, because some guests were asked several times the same questions, but rather asked more than too little. At the price-performance ratio, I'm a little undecided, the soups might be a little cheaper. The plaice is fine. Conclusion: A good restaurant, very nice ambience, good service. There are no 5 stars in the food."
