"Parking can be a challenge limited street parking. If you live closeby, walk. Restaurant is cute reminds me of small eateries in Thailand. My usual is Tom yum wings, crab fried rice, papaya salad Esan style, pad Thai, mama noodles. It's a bit pricey. The only thing that I did not like was beef stick possibly boiled then braised lack in flavor. I hope they can improve the flavor. FYI this Thai restaurant only has yellow curry which is u usual as red and green curry is staple to most Thai cuisines. I'm Thai and was raised on red and green curry so I am hoping they will offer it some day!"

"Fun cafe in Normal Heights with a simple menu. They don’t have a huge selection but from the items we tried it was delicious. Has the breakfast panini with Turkey and a Mexican Mocha. The panini was really delicious, crispy, saucy, and just the right amount of heft to it. The coffee mochawas pretty standard but good. Also had a Mexican chocolate coffee cake which I’ve never had, simply delicious. Would definitely recommend. Parking can get tough. Lots of locals though so it’s all good"

"I ordered a chicken taco and five rolled tacos. The chicken taco was massive. It was actually pretty tasty. The rolled tacos were a bit on the small side and lacked the flavor I was looking for. However, the hot carrots, jalapeños, and salsas were all really good. I’ll be back to try out a few more items so I can give a better review. Update: I returned to try the California burrito. As a disclaimer, I got it through the drive thru, took it home, and reheated it for 10 minutes in the oven. It was pretty good! However, it was a bit dry, due to them not giving sour cream and guacamole by default—they’re add-one, which I didn’t realize at the time. Still, a 3.9/5-star Cali burrito. Recommend adding either sour cream or guacamole to help with dryness."

"Had to make a run to Mira Mesa and decided to try Isshido ramen. In a strip mall, isshido is a nice lil spot with simple decor. Single me, I always get seated at the bar area.As always, I ordered takoyaki and their signature paitan ramen. Takoyaki wasn't freshly made(as all ramen spots) but it was okay than others. The ramen was pretty good. Enough without ordering extra noodles. Doesn't come with much so you have to add. Wish they had bamboo shoots and seaweed as the basic. I don't like corn with my ramen. The broth was tasty and hasn't as hot when it came out. So the broth and noodle didn't maintain as it got warm quick. The charshu was really good. Bit charred and not dry but a bit on the thin side. Egg was good.In all this place, ramen wise, is my #3 ramen in San Diego. I live in Clairemont, so the drive is a bit far so I guess I'll maybe stop by again when I need to go to Mira Mesa. There are other ramen spots in Mira mesa and I've tried those here in the Kerney Mesa area and those don't make my top 5. It's you to choose. Go to Isshido, good ramen. On to the next."

"Had lunch here today : Kadhai Subz and Dal Tadka. It was an amazing experience! They capture the taste of Indian cuisine very well. This place has much better food than any other Indian restaurants we have tried in the region. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Would highly recommend Mirch Masala for people looking for great Indian food in San Diego!"

"Their Mahi a la Veracruzana is the best grilled fish taco concoction i have ever tasted in my wide travels. I try fish tacos everywhere i go. Great service in an informal eatery 1 block off the beach.Dietary restrictions: Since i must go gluten free, the waiter offered to put any of the tacos on a corn rather than flour tortilla."

"Very impressed with Tahini. Everything is made to order, fresh. They soak their fava beans over night, and bake fresh their falafel. All their house made tahinis are vegan except one. Many vegan/vegetarian options. They bake their pita flat bread fresh all day. Prices are fair. The employees are nice. Overall a good experience. Be sure and come early for lunch because this place is packed at 12:30!!! Or better yet, order online. There’s a small parking lot with handicap spaces available. The lot serves many other businesses, so it fills up quickly. If you work in the area, best to carpool.Next door to Tahini is their sister store Finjan. Service specializing in Arabic blend and Middle Eastern cold pressed coffees. They infuse their drinks with fresh mint, cardamom, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans. They treated me to a free coffee or drink of my choice for customer appreciation when I presented my receipt from Tahini for today. Which I thought was really cool."

"I celebrated my birthday with 20 friends on the patio of El Borrego today and it was such a wonderful experience! I'm so grateful to Rodnia, the owner, and her staff, for being so attentive and handling it all so well. They sectioned off half of the outdoor patio and set it up with beautiful decor, as well as umbrellas for shade and a big fan as it was 80 degrees out. At the bar, guests could choose from house made Horchata, Agua de Jamaica, beer and Sangria. I heard so many compliments about the venue and especially on the food! We served a self-serve buffet of Cochinita Pibil and Lamb Barbacoa with tortillas, guacamole and garnishes, plus quesadillas made with squash blossoms and rajas that they brought out hot as they were ready. The whole afternoon felt easy and relaxed and I got to enjoy spending time with friends rather than being stressed about hosting. The mellow music they played set a nice atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon. This restaurant is such a neighborhood gem! If you're looking for a space to accommodate a crowd and excellent food and service, I highly recommend El Borrego!"

"I am ex-military Navy for 20-year veteran ... So I can say that I am somewhat partial however I have been to other golf courses all over the world and I can tell you that the care that these people take of this course is far beyond some of the things that I have seen. I really enjoyed playing the South course holes even after the huge rainfall and water hazards that really took a toll on The back nine. 14 Dec played the North Course today .... Perfect day for it went early and played 18 ... Only wild life out here ... Long holes, beautiful course, not over challenging."

"Service was great and it was early in the evening around 6pm so it was very quiet. Veggie risotto was OK and Salmon was good. It was very quiet in a quiet business district for downtown SD on a Friday night. Good for a hotel restaurant but also overpriced like one."

"I went here with high hopes of it being my working spot for the week, as I am in town for the next several days and work remotely. The food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken club sandwich. It’s nothing that special and for $15, certainly not worth it! The biggest disappointment, however was that NONE of the outlets function and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom— when I told the staff, they didn’t really know what to do/say, as if this was such an odd request. They gave me some paper towel to use… It was pretty shocking to me that all of the several outlets along the wall are not working. The vibe and setup here look quite work-friendly, with a big communal table in the middle and being very well-lit and spacious, but unfortunately not having operational electrical outlets is a huge miss in this case. I had to wrap up my station early and go back to the hotel since I only realized that the outlets weren’t working once I actually needed it. I wouldn’t recommend this spot, seems poorly managed and the food isn’t so great to justify the high prices."

"Everyone else 's food was good except mine so minus a star lol. I ordered ahead for pick up 3 appetizers and 2 main dishes about $95. Our food was ready when promised and packed well no leaks. Barbeque chicken wings were awesome. Both types of imperial rolls were excellent and still crispy even though I hit traffic getting it home and came with ample lettuce, herbs and sauce. The peanut sauce we liked the best. Clay pot Salmon was small but tasty. Jasmine tea was terrible I decided to spit it out and toss it after the third sip. Vegetable fried rice was lacking the fried aspect more like undercooked dry vegis tossed in leftover rice so I couldn 't recommend that dish. Overall decent, a bit pricey but typical for that area."

"We had a bit of a disappointing experience which I hope is the exception and not the rule. Obviously we had reservations, however; when we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess told us there were no good tables left and that we'd have to sit in the bar. The bar was crowded, and our table was thin in width. There were three tables, and they were placed very close together. People would actually brush into our feet as they walked by which was not a good experience. One good thing was the table was a half booth, so we were able to sit against the wall together. This is a pleasant experience if you are with a significant other. The service was good with one exception. When we finished our drinks, one was not ever refilled. Apart from that, there were no issues. The food overall was good. We split a beet salad, and we also ordered bread. Both were good. One of us had the Chicken Marsala which was extremely good and of a good value. The other had the stroganoff. This dish consisted of noodles which were more like spaghetti (can't remember the actual Italian name) vice the standard wide and short stroganoff noodles. This made the dish somewhat difficult to eat, however; the flavor was good. We finished the meal with the tiramisu and cappuccinos, both of which were very good. When it came time to pay, we were running short of time as we had to make it to the opera which is only three blocks away. Also, along these lines, there are two parking areas. I am uncertain of the cost, but the parking area directly beside the restaurant closes at 9:30 pm. There is another parking area beneath the building across the street which was only $10 and was open until 2 am. Back to our bill...we didn't take the time to review the itemized costs. We were charged $139, and in doing the math today, we believe this is much more than the actual cost, so there was most likely an error. Ensure you double check your bill! Overall, decent, but we are in no hurry to return."

"Stop by and got some gas and I saw they had a taco shop inside !! The gentleman at the front recommended me their carne asada fries. The carne asada fries was different than any other carne asada fries I have gotten. They came with a pepper seasoning on the fries and the meat was marinated full of flavor! Definitely hitting this spot every I go fill up ! They have lots of seating outside and even a TV !"

"The worst Panini I’ve ever had. Zero flavor with mediocre turkey and cheese to top it off the panini was super hard to the bite. I should have paid attention to the RED flags of dirty establishment and poor service to describe a caprese salad all wrong. It’s true when they say if the bathroom is filthy for their paying customers to see, then what can you expect how the kitchen must be and cannot see. This made sense! This place is only convenient because if you’re walking by then you can grab a quick bite with a nice view. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE."

"I tried the roast duck rice plate the butterfly pea lime soda. The roast duck plate was not all that, quite expensive for the price. It came with about 8 THINLY sliced pieces of duck on top of some steamed veggies with a large heaping of rice. The rice to meat ratio was ridiculous. The flavor of the duck was okay, just felt that I was being skimped out because the slices were so thin! The butterfly pea lime soda just tasted like a basic lemon soda with blue food coloring. Overall, I was not satisfied with this meal would skip this place next time."
"Really cute, outdoor Cafe, with super nice employees. Got a cold brew from here and it was great! They have outdoor seating and they are dog friendly (they also provide water bowls...see photos). I'm definitely coming back!"
