"My husband and I stopped in at Steener 's Pub today for lunch our first time and were very pleasantly surprised. I had the deep fried mushrooms and highly recommend them. When they first came out I had to ask what they were because they looked more like large deep fried corn muffins than 'shrooms they were that big!! I had to cut each one into eighths. And if you like your 'shrooms still 'rare ' with just a bit of batter (like I do), then these are also for you. The light batter was flavorful and the accompanying homemade ranch dressing was also delicious with lots of fresh garlic along with a taste of sour cream. I also had the French onion soup it was good. For my own personal preference, I like more onions and cut smaller a touch of Worcestershire, and a bit more broth reduction. My husband had the French dip with Swiss and found it above and beyond delicious. The waitress actually asked him how he wanted the beef cooked a first for a roast beef sandwich. The beef was tender and flavorful and the ciabatta roll was fresh and soft. The fries were good and they had vinegar for them always a plus. His preference is no peel, but the flavor was good and they were crispy like he likes. We will definitely be going back the menu is FULL of tantalizing options that we want to explore. We highly recommend giving Steener 's Pub a try!!!"
