"Well, let me start by saying I'd had dinner here a few years ago, and had a GREAT time. Great food, great salsa, I had a great drink called a Mexican iced tea. So safe to say I was expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately it was the opposite. I was really upset with my drink, I ordered a Mexican iced tea, same drink I'd had before and it had tasted similar to a Long Island iced tea, but this time it just tasted like whiskey and water. It was nauseating. I had my fiancé try it and he agreed it tasted like a watered down whiskey. I literally couldn't drink it. The food wasn't bad, I actually really liked the beans but I wasn't a fan of the rice. It needed seasoning or something and there wasn't any salt on the table or anything. I ordered carnitas, and for some reason the menu left me with the assumption that the meat was a thin cut and it was huge chunks of meat. Good meat, but I prefer the thin cut carnitas. They tend to be a lot crispier and leaner. The only good thing I have to say is the service was good, I liked our server a lot, he was a really nice guy, I wish he'd asked a little sooner how our food and drinks were (he didn't ask until we were finished eating) so I could have mentioned the terrible drink but he was really kind. I hate to say anything bad about him at all because he really was so nice. I think he was the only server and he was busy. I'm disappointed because this isn't the review I was expecting to write. Overall, based on my recent experience, I unfortunately wouldn't recommend."
