"we had the most wonderful dinner at giovanni’s. the food was great and the service was even better. my wife had the calf parmesan from which she was slapped. the Tuscan suppe and salat with a house made tomaten and basilikum dressing also a hit. I had the ribeye aka cavor, one of the best steaks that I had in a long time, covered with a light scab sauce with green pfeffer grains. hot broth. fresh vegetables. our server was megan. if they ever drive through lampasas or if they are looking for a destination to dinner, giovanni’s is a great place to go. ask for megan."

"I read through a lot of the reviews and decided to give this a try. Weeks went by and as I was driving into cove and pulled right in to the parking lot. When I opened my door I was met with this breath taking smell of hawaiian bbq. Walking into throughthe front door I was immediately greeted not only by staff but the huge menu too. After studying the menu I decided on thenumber 2 for myself which included, a pork rib, chicken katsu, rice and macaroni salad . My husband also got a number two butwith brisket, kalua pork and a double salad. He enjoyed his plate a lot! The salad was crispy and fresh, the pork and brisketwere super tender and flavorful. As for mine...katsu was nicely breaded and crunchy, the rib was fall off the bone (literally)but the sauce had an acidic background but not a lot of flavor. My sides were rice, which is fluffy and sticky. On it was a typeof teriyaki sauce and wow it was good!! The other was macaroni salad which had a creamy texture but again no flavor. I alsoordered 1 egg role and 1 spam musubi. The egg roll I feel was like something you get when you order chinese and the musubi wasmeh. The musubi rice to meat ratio was way off and the meat was barely on the other side of cooked. Honestly this place has thepotential to be good just have to add seasoning to some stuff. I will be back for the katsu for sure."

"So before reading this review take note I travel the world and I personally cook in a professional level and I’m judging a little place in Killeen. Anyways. The hospitality is unbelievably amazing. Not just my waitress but everyone will check on you (we wasn’t the only table).The food on the other was not the best-chicken was full with nerves, chewy and just low quality-the house bacon that is 6 dollars by itself was nothing special-the chorizo tacos was brought to me cold with a weak sweet taste. Chorizo should have a bold taste and be flavorful. Inspecting the meat it didn’t look season at all.-the over easy eggs was over cooked.-the waffle need to be mix better. The “great value” box mix taste betterDon’t get me wrong there was items that taste good but the only thing I remember is how amazing the service was. I truly hope the owner or manager reads this and sits down to try the food. Maybe tell the cook that it’s for a customer so they will cook it like they normally would to see if they’re just becoming lazy. There is a lot of space for improvement. I would change my review later to see if this wasn’t just a bad day in the kitchenJust saw a review about the owner/manager cussing at employees and I won’t be supporting that. You reply back to everyone’s review but that one. You should take care of your employees. They’re the ones that make your business what it is. I changed my review to one star. Shame on you"
