"We have dined here before with a better experience. Today the bread was warm, and the butter was semi soft with chives. The soup was average, a little watery for a bisque. Oysters were delicious and served with cocktail sauce and vinegar. The waiter was happy to bring us some horseradish upon request. We dined on the specials of the day. The first was the breaded white fish. This was outstanding perfectly cooked with a very nice egg batter. Fingerling potatoes were great! The ramp pesto pasta was less than stellar. Absolutely stunning atmosphere, knowledgeable staff of food, and the most amazing halibut and duck entrees. Definitely recommend. Worth the money and time. Lovely desserts as well.

We experienced a relaxing dinner. The atmosphere is calm. Food was phenomenal. Husband had chicken marsala and I had the whitefish. We'll definitely be making reservations next time in Door county!

Delicious. They made some really great drinks and delicious food. Must have a reservation or plan on sitting at the bar. We loved sitting at the bar and mingling with the bartenders. "On a rainy evening, my family visited a busy restaurant with great service. They provided a high chair for our son with special needs who doesn't usually eat much table food. The staff was friendly, especially our sociable waitress who interacted with our kids. The food was delicious, especially the amazing steak. I highly recommend trying their Cherry Margaritas."

"there were 3 of us in our group. two of us had the nativity $23.99 each and the other person had the nativity salat $15.99 all were fantastic! one of us had a drink called bee sting. it was also fantastic! clean restaurant. wendy was our server. colin immediately welcomed us. very welcoming atmosphere! both were so nice! we ate this meal on Saturday night, so the prime rib was a special one. there are many seating options, including outdoors."

"We’ve been coming up to Door County for years and always have had wonderful meals everywhere from the nicest restaurants to a casual drive-in. However, picked up the fish fry here and was so disappointed with its few skimpy pieces of overcooked perch. Tons of people in the place so either they were just there for the drinks or we caught the kitchen on a very bad night."

"Honestly, this place is overhyped. We always come to Sister Bay with our dog, and Chives has a no pet policy (even on the patio), so we waited a long time to try it. We did finally leave our dog behind and got a chance to dine in at Chives, and we were very excited to try it. My husband ordered the duck and I ordered the beef cheek. Both were underwhelming (the beef cheek was salty and unbalanced, the noodles dry; the duck was bland in general). Fries were fantastic, though I'd come back for these. Drinks were strong and the wine selection was lacking, so not for us. The waitstaff is typical to the area friendly but new to the business. There were a couple of old hands that I think would have provided a better experience overall, but service isn't why you come here, either. To be honest, I'm not sure why it's so hard to get a reservation here. Overall it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back."
