"We also tried a shrimp pasta dish, veal parmigiana, and prime rib. All the proteins were well-prepared and tasty. The prime rib was tender, juicy, and cooked medium rare, just as we requested. However, that’s where the experience took a downturn. The side dish pasta and the red meat sauce, as well as the pasta with the veal, were disappointing. The sauce had a strange aftertaste, reminiscent of raisins or prunes, lacking the expected flavors of garlic and basil. It was like going to a Mexican restaurant and finding terrible salsa. I love this place! The lasagna is great! I love the bar next door (they do business together). Friday evenings were karaoke night, the atmosphere is friendly and fun and the beer is coooold! Bands play sometimes. Look at it!

We had an excellent lunch today. The salad was exceptional—fresh, vibrant, and free of any brown leaves. It was complemented by olives, tomatoes, and a bit of purple cabbage. The main courses were generous in size and absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to return!

I absolutely love this place! The pizza is fantastic, the food is wonderful, and the portions are generous. It can get quite busy, and they might be a bit short-staffed at times, so be prepared to wait a little. Trust me, the food is definitely worth it! Also, the bread they serve while you're waiting for your meal is incredibly delicious—so good that you might find yourself snacking on it instead of saving room for your main dish!

"This place is clean, so I mean that the tables, bottles of spices are clean, not sticky, floor tiles are clean, Health Department rated A. "We love Black Horse. The food is always delicious and the service is very friendly. Today was extra busy, like Thursdays at 3 times. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. Hangar Steaks are incredible. And her chili is great. Add a piece of warm corn bread and it is a meal on and off itself. We always take leftovers home for another meal."

"Pretty cool to have an islander style breakfast and only 15mins from the 60fwy. The food was ok a bit lacking in the flavor department. The chilliquillies were ok but the pork was imo definitely lacking flavor, the plate was too dependent on the spice from the chips and yolk from the eggs. The beans were good. The spic was a medium heat. All our eggs were perfectly cooked. The loco moco was a bit salty but thats expected since we ordered the spam version so it gets a pass. The Belgium waffle was a decent size and filling. I would like to recommend this place to anyone that is interested in trying islander style breakfast. The atmosphere was cool and the music was pleasant. Make sure you pick up a pog juice at the counter. Food was made quickly and served with a smile. Cant say anything bad but nothing too great honestly since I have had better but no where near home. I will be returning next time to try their lunch and probably a few other breakfast items. Food wasnt bland its just missing a little something not sure what. But I dont want to knock it because it really wasnt bad just a little lacking. But still definitely worth a try."

"I recently ordered a bento box from this restaurant and paid $40. It was the worst bento box I have ever had. The portion size was small, with only a few thin slices of cold beef. They even forgot to include the rice. The tempura was old and served ice cold. I have had better sushi from a grocery store. Overall, I was very disappointed with my meal."
