"The waiter was great, helpful and kind. The issue that I experienced was with the food. If I could give negative stars I would. It was too costly for the food that’s barely edible. My husband ordered the Scottish Wild Game Burger and he asked for it to be medium well, it was basically rare/bleeding when he got it!! I had ordered Anchor Buffalo wings. The fries were great but the wings were terrible. I couldn’t even stomach eating one full one, and they smelled off/ weird. I didn’t want to try to make a scene and inconvenience the server since it is not her fault and the establishment was going to close within thirty-minutes. $48 dollars down the drain. I wish I would’ve spoken up and gotten...

Worst fish n chips ever, over salted and not fully cooked. Guinness sent them small 10-10 oz glasses and they don’t know how to poor. Staff is so nice though, too bad everything else was bad. Don’t get fish there. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Good beer. Good spot. Good people. Is there anything more? Definitely stop in and have a beer. Dirt is the man and always keeps the party going! Really glad I finally got to stop in. "Avenue Waterfront Grille is a great restaurant to visit the outdoor banks. It is located in downtown Manteo on the shore and has a magnificent view of the Shallow Bag Bay. Your service is great as well as your food. I was often in this restaurant and had a great experience every time I visited. They sometimes have live music outside on the deck and this is very pleasant. The host staff is extremely friendly and often checks for you how to eat to make sure everything goes well during your dinner. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice local dinner for the Outer Banks or if you just want to have a few drinks with friends at the bar and see a sports game."

"at first the personal was so nice. they were attentive to needs, asking and service. the eating was really good, but the fact that the protein (hun) was so overcooked it for a very dry, core of the meal made. rice, beef, vegetables were all perfectly boiled (sweet brilliant with color.) the cheese dip and salsa were delicious and spicy. that was the same thing that my wife was. my brother in law has the akp that is covered with cheese, so his meal look to the most attractive (and least dry.) I would have this place 5 stars for the great service and all the other foods that were perfect. but the hunch was dry and disgusting."

"We came here for a quick stop to grab some ice cream, but we ended up having two ice creams each, and order of fries, a burger and a pizza. The owner was so passionate about his food and it definitely shows, because EVERYTHING we ate was AMAZING. The fries were oven baked and were super crunchy. The PIZZA is a must try, all ingredients felt as fresh as they come."

"We’ve been to many bbq places here in OBX and I’ll tell you this right now, we feel this is the best. Food was plentiful and tasted amazing. Ambience was great with the screen windows blowing in the breeze and friendly staff made the experience even better. Appreciation for first responders/police/military so give these guys a try you won’t regret it!"
