Mario's De La Mesa - Speisekarte

The service was okay. The food was okay. My daughter asked the server which shrimp dish was good. She said Ranchero was her favorite. So my daughter got this and my husband chose another shrimp dish. The shrimps in both were terrible. I ordered the Carne Asada plate I had before and it was very good.

This place is amazing. The food is fresh, not excessively salty and delicious. Friendly service, fair prices and a great location. Will be back soon. Edit: Today back 7/19/2022. Still as amazing as ever. Enchiladas and Taco Combo rice and beans. Amazing? Second editing: Tacos are amazing. Happy National Taco Day

After many years in La Mesa, my wife and I finally lived the opportunity to fall on what we've always been thinking of all the other restaurants in the main part of Downtown La Mesa. Typically, we would pass this humble place on our way home from a lunch or dinner downtown and routinely say we should try this place sometime. Today was that at some point and we were not disappointed, rather exceptionally surprised. We had forgotten about the Friday Farmers Market, which blocked the main streets of downtown and took a roundabout to avoid the traffic jams and ended up on Mario 's.
