"The food at Sam 's was so good, it took me on a trip to memory lane!I 'm from a Lebanese family in Paris France and I 'm picky about my food. I went to Sam 's after reading reviews and I was expecting good Falafel and good Mediterranean food, but not GREAT Middle Eastern food. Sam is a great chef and cooks the best homemade style dishes from his native Syria.The Falafel was refined with just the right mix of spices (not loaded with cumin as people from other regions make it), a crispy exterior and a moist interior. my husband and I just had the most INCREDIBLE dinner here, the food was unbelievable, the service was amazing and the presentation was 12 out of 10! we highly highly recommend as this is some of the best food we're had in and around all of boston!

Literally the best shawarma! Had to leave and live in another state for a while and missed Sam’s shawarma so much! So happy to be back and enjoying the amazing lamb beef shawarma plate! One plate is enough for both lunch and dinner for me!It’s about $18/plate (worth it) and I see a lot of people complaining about an added 4% they didn’t know about. There’s a flyer indicating that clearly at the counter they just don’t read! Also, after going through this pandemic and seeing how much meaner customers are, no wonder he’s standoffish!! Absolutely love this place!!

Went with my husband to Sam's Falafel and Shawarma in Somerville, it was a super nice day and the place had a very long line to the outside, within the 15 min wait there were almost 50 people who put in an order and got their orders quickly and efficiently. I got to eat my falafel with tahini and spicy fries with delicious garlic dip. I would've ordered the beef or chicken shawarma given they had it on the turning vertical rotisserie which would have guaranteed a moist juicy sandwich but I was craving falafel! I highly, beyond highly recommend this place! Sooooo good!

"We dined here for the first time on Sunday for brunch and it was AMAZING…..what a gem of a restaurant. First and most importantly, the service was thoughtful, gracious, warm and welcoming. We were greeted so warmly by the host and she knew we had a special request for a table, this made us feel expected and welcome. Camden was our server and he was so knowledgeable, upbeat, helpful, engaging….90% of our experience was thanks to him. The food is so unique, the flavors are unexpected and delicious. "The dinner was excellent for my wife but the Steak Au Poive was just so so , i chose poorly but to get stars it should not matter. Everything Else was great, the Lobster bisque, Lobster Mac and Cheese highly recommended. I would definitely go back but hopefully choose another entree. My wifes tenderloin and loster tail chef special was "five star". Coconut Cream Pie which our daughter recommended was very rich"

"The fall menu at Urban Hearth is a fantastic , colorful and tasty array! The New England Nosh board is a delicious combination of fruit preserves , cheese and cured meats . The small plates were a mixture of meat , fish or vegetable centered dishes outstandingly flavored. The large plates were savory, and wonderfully plated. I brought friends from Europe there and they appreciated the fresh farm to table flavors and warm service. We sat outside on one of the last lovely evenings of fall on their wooden patio, well lit with string lights and decorated with foliage. We adore Urban Hearth!!"

"sitting is tight and it is a hole in the wall, but eating was worth the trip of maryland. we ordered the margarita pizza and the campeanelle. service was great and courteous. first the sauce. to the point! it has a fresh and coughing that all illuminates their dishes. the cing of the tomato made my mouth flatter when I eat it. second: pasta and broth. perfectly cooked and are perfect vehicles for the sauce. the pasta had chorizo shadings above, which added a salty n smokey profile for which was to die. there was a perfect balance instead of an overwhelming oiliness, from which I generally know."
