Sky Ute Casino Resort

We went in for a spell and we’re planning to eat but all the restaurants are apparently closed on Monday’s. So anyhow we had drinks at the lounge and our server Derick was amazing. He was so polite and friendly and very helpful in giving us recommendations for our vacation. The drinks were spot on and we had fun in the casino!

This is a beautiful hotel. The restaurants are REALLY GOOD. The pool hot tub are good. The interior exterior are elegant well designed (it has a native American theme, which fits well). The rooms are nice have lots of extras e.g. our room had 3 telephones, a beautiful bathroom with separate shower tub, a 2nd sink small kitchen, and of course looked good. The staff are friendly. There is also a full size bowling alley and arcade. What else could you ask for? 5 stars!!! PS we are not gamblers, and only stayed here while on vacation in Durango, so I am not reviewing the casino just everything else

I visited the Sky Ute for the Scrapin the Rockies event. Seeing custom vehicles inside was a beautiful touch to the event. The staff was super friendly and the hotel is well kept.Only 2 personal complaints. My mini fridge in the room definitely needs to be defrosted to help regulate the temp. It was turned up, but barely cold. There is about 2 -3 of ice built up around the freezer part. 2nd one is food. There's quite a few places to eat, but they are only open certain hours of the day. Just a suggestion, and I'm sure it's a lack of staffing. But it would be awesome if willows was open all day during the event. The menu at Rolling thunder is very limited(1 page) compared to Willows(2 pages)....
