"We were celebrating a friends birthday and she chose Sophia's Cafe as a lunch spot. I got there early the vibe is super casual. They had a reserved table ready for our group since we called ahead as there were 10 of us. I ordered the Greek salad and added gyro meat, an additional charge. Next time I will get the gyro salad since it's similar. We ordered hummus and pita for the table to try. As it's a walk up, each of us ordered our food. Food prep was quick and friendly. I really enjoyed me entree, lots of classic Mediterranean flavors and the gyro meat was tender and delicious. I will definitely go back to try more on menu. The staff provided a complimentary baklava desert to the birthday...

Sophia's never disappoints. It's always my first stop every time I come to Sherwood. The only thing better than the food is the kindness of the owners and staff.

"We were promptly seated at the restaurant, but unfortunately, we had to wait more than 15 minutes before our waiter returned to take our drink orders. We were surprised that he wouldn't take our drink orders until we were ready to order our food. This meant that we had to rush to make our selections just to get drinks. The wait was so long that I had to go out to my car to get a bottled water. When my salad arrived, I didn't receive any silverware, so I had to retrieve a fork from my car as well. Unfortunately, when our main courses arrived, the food was cold and overcooked, with the burgers being burnt. We also had to request more silverware and napkins, as our waiter only brought back 1 spoon and 1 knife for a table of 7. Additionally, there were no refills given until just before we received our checks. Despite requesting to speak with the manager multiple times, she never came over to our table. After paying a $96 check plus tip, we were very disappointed with the level of service and will not be returning to this location."

"Fantastic food!!! I got a to-go order because I heard the food was amazing, but had limited time. The service was quite fast, although I was a walk during a lunch break. unlimited chips and salsa while waiting, plus the staff was attentive and super nice. 5 stars all the way and sick most definitely eat there many times in the future.had the steak burrito with green chili sauce and some shrimp tacos. Both very recommended."

"Restaurants like this are a dying breed. All the comforts of home cooked food and a dining room that doesn't make you feel like you need to wear a collared shirt. I feel like I could eat here a few nights a week and have plenty of room for variety. Tasty food, friendly staff, great drinks, elbow room nothing dressed up, just classic comfortable diner. We can't wait to come back."
