"We really wanted to like this place. It is located above a gallery in the old Famous Dave 's spot. Gorgeous view, but unless you 're seated on the lanai it is stiflingly warm with poor air circulation. Despite what we had read, our server informed us that the restaurant is not new but that it 's taken a year or so to figure out their menu, etc. (um, ok.... Service was great and gave us the pick of any table in the house, as we were the only patrons there at 5:30 pm with no other diners present even when we left around 6:30 pm. Great setting for sunset views! Live music was really good and not intrusive to dinner talk.

So disappointed in this place. We showed up on a Sat night and it was 80% empty, which wasn't a good sign. We had even called ahead, it was odd our table was ready for 12 considering there was maybe 6 people in the restaurant. The poor server seemed to be by herself...so we don't blame her, just the management. She did all she could, but you could tell the support was lacking. She was our hottest, server and bar tender. We wondered if she had to cook the food too. The service then was slow, again I don't blame our server...but it all was a struggle from there. "Would give this place 8/5 if I could. I never had pork as crispy and perfectly cooked as here, from Michelin star restaurants to hole in the walls in Asia. If I were Anthony Bourdain, I would put this place on the map. We stopped at New Years and the owners were closed early, but they offered us to make crispy pork with onions and tomatoes because it would be fast. We had fun watching the chickens nearby. The food was well worth the waiting made to order fresh, the crispy pig was perfectly salted and incredibly crispy. The chopped onion and tomato salad was a delicious supplement. Even the rice was perfectly finished. If we got eggs, they would have been perfect. If you are looking for a perfect foodie experience in Lahaina I would highly recommend checking this food truck, then go half a block to Ululani for excellent shaving ice cream. This place is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! (See my pictures)"

"I really didn’t want to like this place because of how tourist it was but it’s well worth it. The deck is great, every table has a view, and the food was right on. The fries could have used a couple more mins in the fryer but the burger was the best I’ve had in weeks. The fish was lacking in flavor a bit but you can’t beat the freshness of the islands. I know it isn’t very island-like or Hawaiian but you can find something for everyone on the menu. I recommend."
