Tonopah Brewing - Speisekarte

It was probably a year since my last visit to Tonopah Brewing Company so it was time for a revisit. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago. Last year (in 2023) they still offered BBQ on the menu with various kinds of meat plates, BBQ chicken, Burnt Ends, Baby Back Ribs, etc. They also used to feature tasty baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, delicious cornbread, and other yummy sides. My server explained the menu changed in February 2024 and all the BBQ items were dropped. Bummer. Now if I want good BBQ I need to drive over to Big Pine, CA, and visit Copper Top. Tonight I sat at the bar with friends. The bartender was friendly as usual but not as attentive as she used to be. The music was still a good selection of everything that could please everybody. This is the 1st time that I have returned since the big menu changes of February 2024. I was super sad at the new menu. Biggest change: no more BBQ. They also took away my favorite fried pickles. Fries is no longer an option as a side: it is tater tots or onion rings. If you sit at a table or booth, you now walk up to the counter to order your food instead of a waitress coming to you. WHAT, NO BBQ!!! SERIOUSLY, WTF--N0 BBQ! We have been to the Brewery many times over the years and while the beers have been okay, the BBQ has always been amazing! We had been in Oregon for a month; were on our way home and planning on stopping in Hawthorne for the night. We got to Hawthorne and realized we could still get to Tonopah by mid-afternoon and stop at the brewery for BBQ and drinks (notice the priority was BBQ). We were able to pull up right in front even with our motor home and trailer.
