"Sal de Fortes treats you like family where you are before or it is your first visit. I had one of the new specials last night, a spinach and goat cheese filled chicken breast with risotto and grilled asparagus. It was dying. The filling was so good that I had only one bowl. Our server was excellent as usual. All in all a wonderful and relaxing meal."

"Terrific experience! It was our first time! The decor is funky inviting, it's a huge restaurant which is unusual in Montclair. Great bar with wonderful drink beer selections. They also have an outdoor bar patio. The staff is top notch. They overheard my husband wish me happy birthday and acknowledged it in a low key way witha candle in my dessert. They also were extremely knowledgeable about all menu items, and very personable. The food was delicious! Too many choices. I had the Monday special of roasted porchetta terrific! My husband had the Mac cheese with burnt bits. Don't let the name fool you, nothing about it was burnt but it was all delicious. Recommend the Juicy Lucy meatballs. We'll be back to try something else!"

"there were not many Entrée options next to steak. the psychic was ok, but not great. the garnel and lobster in the sea fruit tower were overboiled and chew. unacceptable to me that the bill was almost $400 for 2 people. it should have been phenomenal for this price."

"Doesn't know why I ever went back to this place for years with a minimum of $500 to play Slots either Dollar or $5 High Limit Machines and never even hit some value take. It's always straight. They all took the fun of gambling his more from a donation center for years. There is always a risk, but the consistency of loosing simply does not add up each time. Years back casinos would be packed with people you are lucky, even on a decent machine today volume is so bad we only contribute to their electric bill to keep their lights on definitely NOT recommend this place and definitely not their slot machines they pay from 1 person from 100 just to it look legit"

"They have the makings of a great thing. However, it was only like 5 occupied tables yet the wait was insane and we were told the kitchen was backed up. Never received 2 parts of my order, the turkey bacon tasted like cardboard. And the bar had nothing to offer for brunch, no mimosas, no Bellinis NOTHING. Hopefully they will work out the kinks."
