"Powerhouse Restaurant and Brewery Powerhouse is a family style brewery with an expansive food menu and solid taplist. The itself resides in an old brick building that has played a unique part of Puyallup and the greater puget sounds history. Where the brewery is now used to be The Puyallup Substation, and was constructed for the Puget Sound Electric Railroad in 1907, supplying the power to the Interurban Electric Trolley that ran from Seattle to Olympia. The Powerhouse name pays tribute to these roots. Their beer menu had a lot to choose from. While there we had their Raspberry Cider and Tangerine Wheat Hefe. Both of which were heavily Fruited. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hefeweizen. The inside is fairly spacious. They have a large indoor dining area complete with full bar, as well as a more secluded area where families can spend some time. They a have a patio area with covered seating that they have open during the nicer months. They have a large menu that offers mostly American Style food. Burgers, Pizza, Salads, Pastas. We split the Katsu Chicken Burger and their Sundried Tomato, Artichoke, creamy pesto pasta. Both were large portions and delicious. The chicken was more homestyle/buttery than anticipated but it was perfect after spending the day at the beer festival. The staff was friendly and attentive and they made sure we were taken care of. We will definitely coming back."
