"People were great . Food average and over priced for what you got small salmon pizza (sandwich plate size with far too many capers couldn't taste the dill . With a lemonade 29.75 . Toilet out side and around the corner . Customers asked for half portions of pasta got whole portions. Prawn salad had lots of spinach not much else. Think a rethink needs to be thought of . On the whole ok but need to make it a little more enticing for the price ."

"On Saturday night, the restaurant was very quiet. We were seated at 7:30 and no one else came in after us. I ordered the Sunday Ragu, and while the sauce was delicious, the sausage was just okay. The meatball was dry and overcooked, and instead of beef braciole, I received a stuffed chicken roll that I did not like. One of my friends ordered shrimp parm and enjoyed it, while another friend had the sausage scarpiello and thought it was only okay. Someone else ordered the veal and found it to be tough and dry, leaving most of the meal uneaten. However, dessert was very good. This was surprising because we had a great lunch there about a month ago. Perhaps it was just an off night."

"Amazing food and great service, I came in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing and huge portions, this is truly a great first time experience and I will be back. To add to everything they have good inside the restaurant there is free covered parking and free charging for EV's two Tesla 32amp 24 mph and two charge point 1772 chargers, way to be ahead of the curve and offer an cool plus free E gas!"

"We were in the area and wanted to grab a quick coffee before hitting the road. Starting off, the parking situation (not totally under their control) is quite scary. Those lots are chaos when it's busy. I saw people making their own spots on sidewalks, in the lanes in the lots to where cars were stuck, etc. We luckily ended up on the side road. Inside was extremely busy. We just needed something to go, and the line was maybe about 10-15 minutes. It didn't seem that long, so I was quite sure what the issue was. There's not a lot of space to line up and I felt a little bad as everyone in line is weaving through the tables and we're pretty much standing over tables as people eat. We ordered our coffees and the service was very quick. To the point where I couldn't even figure out how they were ready that fast, but that's fine. Coffee was also very good. I had a mocha and my wife had a cold brew. I'm definitely not a connoisseur, but I thought it was delicious. Outside of the chaos, I would be curious to see how other items are and try a meal."

"I have been to Carmelo's many times and usually love my meal and can't wait to go back. Tonight was a different story. My boyfriend and I made a reservation at Carmelo's to celebrate our anniversary as it's usually one of our favorite places. Tonight it took a very long time for us to get our drinks, my boyfriend asked for lemon for his water that he had never received. We then got our appetizer after a little while of waiting, which was fine. After we saw tables around us who were seated after us receiving their bread, we then had asked for ours because we never received it. After maybe a little over an hour of being at the restaurant we got our food. I got the shrimp and scallop limoncello, which I have gotten many times there. It had diced tomatoes in it that were uncooked (along with the usual sun dried tomatoes) and this wasn't something that was changed on the menu, if it was I would have asked for it to be left out of the dish. The sauce also seemed to be extremely watery tonight. Eventually our waiter boxed up our food and asked if we wanted dessert, we got one and asked for it to be for to go and for the check. At this point we have been here for an hour and a half. He brings the check and we put the card immediately in as we are sick of sitting outside and waiting. The waiter proceeded to take the bill and talk to the table next to us for over 10 minutes with our bill in hand. No exaggeration. Just five minutes short of being at our table for 2 hours is when we finally were able to leave, as we had a 7pm reservation. Maybe this was an off night for Carmelo's, I really hope it's not the new normal here, and I may just be exceptionally frustrated as we had sat there waiting for a lot longer than we had ever experienced at Carmelo's before. We saw many tables of two that arrived after us come and go before we had even received our check."

"To start. The salads were fresh and good. My wife had the deconstructed ravioli. It was good. She enjoyed it. I got the hamburger. This is where the problem was. I asked for it to be medium well. It came out it was raw in the middle. On top of that it didn't have any flavor, to the point that I didn't even want to mess with sending it back. Very disappointed. The homemade fries were very good. The deserts we're very good. We got deserts to share. One was the bagnets very good and fun watching my wife inject them was great. I got the Alaskan- which was Chocolate cake with ice cream and smothered with marshmallow then torched like a s'mores. It was outstanding. Overall. Good fun place. Would go back just not for the burger"

"It was a beautiful day in La Jolla. The terrace view was wonderful. Great service and food. The only item of inconvenience was the ladies restroom wast three floors down. No elevator. The stairs from the main level to the bottom level very dark and hard to see the steps. Other than that inconvenience we will definitely dine there again."

"My family love going to Bernini’s especially for special events. Normally, service, food and ambiance are exceptional. Unfortunately this time there was a very loud party adjacent to us. Other than this out of ordinary circumstance they are spot on. Wife loves the Rossini and the my favorite the Ricci Di Mare. Kids also eat things we thought they would normally never try. Definitely recommend Bernini to anyone looking for a great dine out experience."

"hostesses weren't accommodating at all, and they wanted to send us away. we had to negotiate our way to a table in the bar that was empty around 17 o'clock, which was considered a reservation of 7:15. the restaurant loses money with the current staff. our waitress was knowledgeable and very sweet and we have tried to leave our table at 7 o'clock, but the waitress told us not to worry about it because there are several open tables available in the bar."

"The lasagna we had was 'very ' good, though at $20 a dish it was more than a bit pricey (adding a salad was another $3.95 . The portion was 'huge, more than a mere mortal could/should eat at one siting. We brought half of our two lasagna dishes home. It was suggested that we simply come in and ask to split one lasagna dish for the two of us they will even cut the serving in half and give each diner their portion. (Sounded like an excellent idea. Bread is free, but only if you ask for it a bit inconvenient for new customers, who don 't know to ask. Ambience was pleasant enough sorta like the old Marie Callander which used to be there. Would recommend this restaurant give it a try."
