"Got charged for 3 adults even though my son was 12 and was to be charged as a child. Options were limited. Wasn't very fresh. Lots of things soggy, dried out, etc. Was very excited for mothers day, and just kind of fell short on quality."

"First visit during restaurant week. Restaurant menu was limited but we were able to find choices for each of use. Several choices had large portions: salad, brisket pot pie. Nacho platter was very unevenly distributed but tasty. Brisket pot pie was bland. Chicken sandwich was messy but tasty. Limited of customers resulted in an acceptable low noise level on Sunday evening. Location is on the edge of West Chester’s dining area."

"8pm on a Saturday night and there was outside and bar seating available we sat at the bar which I recommend as the atmosphere of this place is as described: relaxing and inviting. Friendly staff at the bar. Drinks: if you like bourbon, get the Smoked Manhattan you won’t regret it. Food: we had one of their burgers and the pork chop sandwich both delicious. The pork chop was particularly good not something I would normally order but I followed a tip from another reviewer. Topped with caramelized apples and perfectly tender. I will come here again. Really a nice local spot. Great little meeting place or date night place."

"The bartender was awesome! We had 3 takeaway meals that she worked with us on because of some advertising discrepancies, I could tell she was sympathetic about the issue. The atmosphere looked fun and enticing though we just waited for our food as we had 2 children to feed waiting outside. 2/3 steaks were perfectly cooked, mine not so much as it was more on the medium to medium-well side than medium-rare. It tasted alright, just not as juicy. Would come here again if passing through."

"We did Sunday brunch at the Black Duck Tavern. The service was exceptional. We really wanted to sit outside in the terrace area and they bent over backward top accommodate us and make us comfortable while we waited. The food was fabulous and my daughter, who lives nearby, is now putting them on her places to go list. I highly recommend!"

"I want to thank the owners for their kindness and help last night. We had a large group with a lot going on, and they were incredibly accommodating and made the night perfect. We have been here a few times and they are amazing every time. The wine selection is great, and I highly recommend the charcuterie and the figgy figgy, but everything looked delicious! You can choose a bottle of wine or beers, browse the books, and just relax for the evening. A must-visit in Matthews!"
