"A classic. They've been around 100 years, so they must be doing something right. Never had a bad meal here. And the cakes and pastries are delicious. Breakfast is really good here, but lunch is where it gets special. Deli sandwiches and salads piled high, with great sides that make it hard to choose. The soups are meals in themselves. I over-ordered and took mine to go. It was nearly 32 oz of tasty, hearty mushroom barley soup. The fries are delicious planks of fresh Russets with the skins on. The potato pancakes are dense and crispy and flavorful. I really like their pickles, which I think is the true test of any respectable delicatessen. The brisket is fall-apart tender and so good. All portions are ridiculously large. One brisket entree provides enough meat for nearly a week of meals. I know because it did!"
