"I've been trying various Indian restaurants in Portland to find my favorite and India Grill wins!!! I'm a vegetarian so I really enjoy their lunch buffet with various options for veggie friendly. They have the best spicy green chutney I've found in town, if you like it hot that is! Their green salad is actually green, no iceburg here anymore! And love their vegetarian main dishes, so much flavor. I keep coming back regularly and their quality is very conistent, love it!"

"Loved the food and hospitality.Had the gobi Manchurian, the coconut milk bread and many layer bread to go with our lamb curry and thokoran (delicious spices with cabbage, onion and coconut milk). I ordered mild spice which was perfect for us. Also tried the mango lassi which was sweeter than what i am used to. Server was very attentive and you could tell it was a family restaurant. Can't wait till they begin breakfast weekend service again."

"We had a fantastic experience at Taj Punjabi. We visited around 10 a.m. on a Sunday night, and it was just a short two-block walk from our resort. Our server was a lovely, warm, and friendly woman who had a Master's degree in IT. The food arrived hot and tasted exactly as it should—fresh, deeply aromatic, and satisfying. The portion sizes were just right. I found the prices to be average or slightly higher than similar places, but the quality of the food was far superior to anything we’ve found back home in Pittsburgh. The only downsides were that we were surprised to learn that an extra dish of rice cost $8.99 (we expected it to be around $3-4). Additionally, they didn't have any cash in their drawer, which meant we had to use a card for payment instead of cash."
