"Let me start by saying, this place serves the absolute best tasting Thai food I have ever had in eastern NC. I live in Goldsboro and I drive an hour just to eat here. I have enjoyed 3 different Thai places in Goldsboro and in comparison the best of the 3 deserves MAYBE a 4 star rating. Thai-Esan most definitely deserves the 5 star rating. In fact I would say 6!If your hungry, come to Thai-Esan. The portions are not going to leave you hanging. Usually with large portions you sacrifice quality... Not at Thai-Esan. This place packs the freshness in everything they make. The Pad Kee Mao is one of my favorites. The noodles are perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. Definitely a dish you want to try.Now... I know this is a Thai restaurant... But I want to point out something on the menu that is worth trying.Beef Bulgogi- Though originally a Korean dish, I have to say this restaurant nails it. In my opinion better than any other Korean restaurants I have been to. The beef is so tender and the flavor is absorbed into the meat. The portion is generous, but it is so good it is hard to have leftovers. In fact you could walk out of the restaurant overflowing with food saying your never going to eat that much again and if you were offered another plate of their bulgogi, I assure you, that without a second thought, you will be piling more into your mouth. Yes.... it's that good.Nothing goes better with these dishes than a side of fresh Kimchi. They have the freshest tasting Kimchi I have ever had. The intense tang and spice creates explosions of flavor in your mouth. If you never had Kimchi, your missing out.So there you have it. If you want a true taste of Asian cuisine here in Eastern NC, Thai-Esan needs be your destination. They are family owned and very engaged with their customers. And that alone makes the experience unforgettable.*Don't forget the Thai Tea!"

"we had dinner at scenic’s before a concert at scottsdale performing arts center. the location is perfect when considering that it is right around the corner of our hotel. we could see a picturesque dach from our room. we made reservations, only for the case that it was busy. after our short walk to the picturesque we sat immediately. an early reservation did not mean too much. when we left 50 minutes later, it was busy. the menu is typical of Thai place with a mix of currys, stir fries, noodles, rice dishes and some specialties. we started with siamese kisses that came fast when we checked the escape options. the kisses were six excellent dimming sum like wraps with huh, and thai seasoned. the sauces were good, but wished there were more on the plate. my companion likes to try evil youngle princess' in any restaurant and she was not disappointed. the portion was very large and came with a large bowl of white rice. the cocose cream sauce was sweet and tasteful. they enjoy every bit, but could not make it to the bottom of the bowl. I had the same problem with my yellow curry with brown rice. we ordered both medium seasoning and were satisfied with the heat. my curry was filled with many carrots, paprika, but was a little leaner on my favorite stuff. I decided to add dark meat huh and it was great. we were in scottsdale for only 24 hours, so not in the position, the benefits of Togo box, which was offered, was the only aftermath of our visit. we told our server that we would order a single escape next time and share it."
