"Roadrunner BBQ was an impressive experience. We had the sliced brisket plate, which is something I consider as being the litmus test for any serious BBQ joint, knowing firsthand how difficult that cut is to master. Now, you know the 'Cue is good when the sauce (which I didn 't personally care for) was completely unnecessary. The meat practically melts in your mouth, and that smoke ring was a thing of beauty. Super thick and burgundy red, but not over-smoked in the slightest. The meat was perfectly seasoned, though I would have loved a bit more bark on it. The Beans and Mac Cheese I had for sides were also quite delicious, and highly recommend. I would love to come back earlier in the day on a weekend to get a slice of fresh brisket that hasn 't been held all day (which is standard practice, and not something I 'm going to ding them for), try some of their other meats, and personally chat with the owners. Only then will I upgrade the rating to five full stars....which I really want to give them on that brisket alone! Well done, Roadrunner! Well done!"
