"The food was very good, I got the spicy curry chicken and my husband got butter chicken. We also ordered plain naan bread and the bullet naan, both came out fresh but I will warn you the bullet is VERY spicy. I will most definitely want to go back. They do add gratuity so look at your bill."

"had the opportunity to eat yesterday in this chic Indian restaurant. the stands are spacious and give a cozy feeling when eating with a group. the decoration is subtle and yet noticeable. the wine, the selection of spirits is wide and everyone has found its favorites. the cocktail menu was very innovatiw and we enjoyed several slumdog millionaires. we had the chickens, the murgh malai tikka and some sew puri. Just as we thought that the dings can not get better, the baingan bharta, chicken ghee roasted and the dal makhani excellent! the kheer and the kulfi brought memories of the child. I'll be back soon. abir and his team are gracious in their service."

"Somehow this place got past me even though it’s been in the same place for over 15 years. Hiding in plain sight, apparently. So good. The flavors are perfect. Attentive and efficient service close at hand. Charming interior. I’ve been looking for a Indian place for weekly visits. Looks like I found it."

"I had a good meal in pawans. delicious food and great service. clean restaurant with personal cleaning everything including menus etc. between mozens. we felt safe and really enjoyed our meal. during this challenging time to have his great place that will bring a...bit pre-pandemic rest. have eaten in other Indian restaurants, but they lacked the cleanliness and quality of pawans. will definitely go back."

"Being on a busy street with an entrance that is not grand, certainly creates an impression that does not measure up to the dining experience you will soon have. The service, food, and atmosphere was simply incredible. We lingered through 4 courses and a bottle of wine being doted on and courted through each course by the staff in such a welcoming and attentive manner. This is a must visit while in DC. The food was beautifully presented and equally delicious."

"we had so many possibilities! I was surprised when they told me that all the sweet dishes were on the vegan buffet! and the garlic naan was also vegan. I asked twice to make sure that they knew that I meant no butter, cheese, cream etc. the whole food was delicious and I was so excited to have such a variety! updated by the previous review on 2019-12-25"

"The ambiance, the service, and the food were amazing! Very courteous waiters and well presented delicious food are some of the reasons we love Curry Masala. The only drawback is that we went to the Rayford location first, as it is closer to our house. They have a sign outside stating that they are closed from 3 to 4:30 pm. We arrived at 5:05 pm and, to our surprise, it wasclosed but the workers were inside chatting. One of them stood up and informed us that they would be closed for another 45 moreminutes. Surprisingly, other couples started to arrive and were also sent back. Was there any reason for this? Notwithstanding, the Spring location is excellent and we will definitely be back."

"The lamb samosas were AHMAYZING not too gamey, lots of flavor. Their mint chutney and tamarind sauce are a must with the samosas! Our butter chicken and paneer spinach dish (palak masala saag) was super flavorful and right on point. The paneer naan could use a tad more salt to bring out the paneer flavor, but very enjoyable all the same. The mango lassi was perfect. I hardly ever comment on the interior of places, but the bright orange interior leaves something to be desired; at least the lighting is mood lighting so the orange isn't tooo bad but I'd personally go with a sage green for that place. Vegetarian options: Entire section for the vegetarians Parking: If there isn't a yoga class going on across the street, there's plenty of parking along the street leading up to it Kid-friendliness: I saw kids, dunno of they have coloring menus or not"

"The Himalayan Cafe is a wonderful authentic East Indian dining experience. Its an amazing restaurant, run by Makar Rai, who, along with his staff, is from Nepal. The food is so wonderful and authentic. The service and vibe' of the place is just right. Everything is home-made, including the great sauces and condiments. You must try the tandoori eggplant (smoky and so delicious), the saag paneer (spinach with home-made cheese), paneer dilruba (amazing tomato sauce and cheese), try the somas, the mo-mos, ohmygosh, just try everything! On Fridays there is live music at night and Saturdays they have bellydancing! Luncheon specials are a great deal. (Veg non-veg with large vegetarian menu."

"Not only does Bombay have some of the best food I have ever had, it is owed by some of the kindest people with loving hearts not only for the food, but for their customers. I have never had a bad experience here, and I have lunch here weekly! Can't wait for next Thursday so I can have my fix of Bombay"
