"Unfortunately, this once-beloved Pasadena establishment has seen a decline in quality. I used to enjoy dining at El Cholo when it was located on Fair Oaks. However, when they moved to the mall, I was concerned that maintaining a space in a mall would require extra effort. Unfortunately, they have not lived up to that expectation. The atmosphere feels disorganized and unclean, with dirty walls, chipped paint, and mismatched lights that detract from any potential ambiance. The overall atmosphere is depressing and the food is average at best. It's a shame to see such a decline in quality."
