"Have really liked the prior times that we have been here but it was disappointing this time. Felt like they are cutting costs and my chicken pasta hardly had any chicken and the flavors were not what u have experienced in the past."

"I have been a patron of this restaurant for years and it has always been a special place to dine. However, I have noticed a decline in service recently. The restaurant was very quiet and we had to flag down the waiter to take our order. Despite this, the food is still very good, the wine selection is excellent, and the setting couldn't be more perfect."

"Excellent meal! This was our first visit after a friend's recommendation. Always love a good BYO and this is one. Our reservation was on a Friday and the place was still pretty full. The space was a little loud so it was a bit difficult to have a nice conversation. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We shared the meatballs as an appetizer and the were more than enough! I had the stuffed shells, which were delicious with a little prosciutto ground into the filling. My husband had the veal parmesan and said it was very good. He tries veal parmesan at every Italian restaurant! Good sized portions had us taking some home for another time. We will definitely be back but may ask to be seated in the front area, which may be a little quieter"

"Return to Gran Sasso on our annual trip to Brooklyn for the International Chief Congress. We weren't dropped. Mr. Sasso and the staff made us feel like we were back home for dinner. The kitchen is rustically beautiful and the service excellently friendly and up to the earth. Wines on the list obviously chosen with love and a skillful palate."

"Trattoria Bolu has always been one of our favorite places! There are so many delicious items you choose. Some of our favorites are: Sausage Reisbälle Lemon Caesar Salat Orecchiette mit Wodka Sauce Avocado Toast (best I have ever! Min. Arnold Palmer And only for any pizza they make! I love the pizza sampler. You can choose 4 different types and they make it a whole cake. It is a great way to try out all their different pizzas. The multi-grained pizza crust is also good. The restaurant has many tables to eat inside when it is warm, they also have outdoor seating. If you go on a Friday or Saturday, it will be busy, sometimes we make a reservation. They are always very accommodating. Try it in any case:"

"My visit to Matera deserves somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. I stopped at a Monday afternoon and the place was full of high schoolers. Every time a place in the week is so, it is a good sign. I went with a few recommendations for a first timer, but I ended up with the H7 and I'm glad I did. It was one of the best vodka chicken parms I ever had. The woman asked what bread I wanted and I let her choose. She recommended the Ciabatta, and it was the only best Ciabatta I ever had. It absorbed the vodka sauce perfectly while the perfect tackiness on the outside. It was a little different than a standard chicken parm in that there were large pieces of mozz on the chicken instead of just a melted layer. Great, fantastic sandwich!"

"This restaurant is my favorite Italian in Manhattan. This is the black linguine with calamari in a perfectly spicy red sauce. Everything is so fresh and cooked perfectly...wonderful service too"
