The macarons were dry and crumbled easily, with some having an artificial taste. The stale taste from the display cooler was also noticeable. However, there were a few flavors that were fresh and moist. The cookie lacked sweetness and the cream was unpleasant. This was given to me as a Valentine's Day gift, making it difficult to tell my loved one that I did not enjoy it. I had hoped for a better experience."

"Came to Brunch on Sunday. It's my second time here. It is comfortable and cozy. The coffee hit the spot and added the serenity I was looking for. The rustic feeling and gentle eclectic music put me at home. The menu is not extensive, but the food is spot on and tasty. I think the appetizers seemed a bit expensive on the menu, but everything else was comparable and not as expensive as other restaurants of the kind. Jennie was my waitress. She was pleasant, friendly and interacted accordingly with my culinary experience. I had an omelet to brunch, and it wasn't a massive ulking dish. What I was really grateful for. The appearance and taste was amazing. Rose's version of the house frit was a unique and tasty one served with a fresh fruit cup. That really hits the point. Great place and I would recommend a visit at any time."

"First time at Shinsen and we plan to come back. Many interesting items on the menu to try and everything we tried was excellent. Service was good but timing of food delivery could have been better. Overall service was slow so plan on over an hour for dinner for two. Not sure but delay may have been in the preparation not delivery of the food. Ladt item we received was the crispy spring roll (I think this was the name) which we would have expected to be the first item (appetizer) served One other note could not find a link to a menu either through Open Table or Shinsen website Regardless try it for the great food"

"Best pizza I ever had. This place makes Itallian right, and you will see that the second you go through the door. If you sit down, give you free fresh baked bread with vinegar and oil for diving. Very good! Every dish I had here is amazing, but I have to say I was cracked on her pizza. The Mozzarella is so tasteful, with a stretchable melt in your mouth texture. Sauce with sturdy taste and a thin crust that is far from the thin taste. Mama Carpino also has a deli inside, so whatever you put on it is guaranteed fresh and tasty! "Really nice cozy place, and the one thing they have that no one else does, is an extremely good violin player who plays in the outdoor area. I've learned a little violin and this guy is *good* I've lived in San Jose for years now and the violin player here is far and away the best musician you can hear without paying $50 and up for a ticket. Yes, it's a wine bar but if you want your kid to have a good impression of violin-playing, take them to the outdoor patio here when Gabriel the violin player is doing his thing. It goes without saying that the coffee etc are to a high standard also."

"This bakery is always my special occasions. The fruit cakes are perfect for parties. Both brothers live from the state and cannot find like crab cakes and pecan ring we enjoyed when we grew up. I make it a point to go to Miller and send her cakes to them all year round. As far as we are concerned, Miller's Bakery has the best crumb cake for every bakery we know. The service is always polite, patient and extremely helpful."
