"We were excited about trying this restaurant based on the reviews and enjoying the weather on the patio, but will not be going back. The overall experience was bad from beginning to end. Unfortunately, there was only one server for the entire restaurant which meant we waited 20 minutes to even put in our drink order and an hour for our appetizer. Once the food arrived, it was fine. The cacio e pepe pizza is really just cheese pizza with pepper sprinkled on top. The lemon poppy pasta was good, but somehow diminished when you have to wait an hour and a half for it. The pours on the wine were miniscule would you like some wine with that glass and the speciality cocktails were nothing special. Finally, the ambiance was completely lackluster. How hard is it to throw a candle or a little vase on a table? We felt bad for our waitress given the circumstances, but shame on the restaurant for putting her and all the patrons in that position without an acknowledgement of the situation. We overpaid for a bad experience."

"i have been coming here ever since i was in elementary school—i’m in college now. i keep coming back for any and all of the food; sometimes i’ll just get whatever is recommended, and it never disappoints. i can’t say whether or not the dishes are truly “”authentic,”” but i do know that everything is so well prepared and served. i always leave with an extremely happy mouth. there is always loud jubilant music, which i personally love. the staff is really kind and tries to be upbeat, despite seeming tired. the restaurant is always kept clean. chips and salsa are always provided (and they are damn good. i always get seconds . i have yet to have a bad experience here in the past ten years (i don’t even come frequently enough to be recognized, so i’m not getting pampered or anything!"

"Straight up easy 5 for this one. Nice straightforward layout. Great menu that I will enjoy tasting around, started with the flagship sandwich, but many choices to try there. They have an extensive drink menu especially the boba tea. I look forward totrying the steam buns. Come see for yourself. The sandwich is reasonably priced and I found them very satisfying, very fresh!The pate was really earthy, I enjoyed that but might turn some people off. If so, just ask questions first. Will definitely beback."

"The place was clean and the food was great as well. It definitely took me back years when I was a kid and getting hotdogs in my hometown. Staff were also so friendly and helpful. I have a 1 yr old son and we wanted to get the high chair for him and once I asked the staff to sanitize it, they graciously accepted. So thank you guys for the good job"

"Always great service when we're in there. Great place to get a delicious pastry and cup of coffee. Love to sit outside and enjoy the goodies. And their cakes are also great. One of the best I had. I'll get all my cakes. I like her cake more than Carlos in Hoboken. Just wish they sold more Italian pastries like lobster tails and rainbow cookies! Very recommended here!"

"This has been the pizza place since back in the 70s. It was the hang out. With the best pizza. It has had different managers I believe all family members. All have been very nice. But it's hard to make everyone happy. But it not a place that you should say I would not recommend it too anyone. Its hard to run a business. Especially if someone degrades it. it's really great pizza. Service has always been great. I'm not family or would i say even friends with the owners. But I will never stop going there.."

"It was a mediocre place. Very dated. Bartender was extremely friendly. Which was nice cuz he was the first person to greet me. When I walked in. I had to wait for my boyfriend. The food was your typical cookie cutter Italian food. We had mozzarella sticks that you could have gotten out of a box. My shrimp scampi with scallops over rigatoni had so much garlic. You couldn't taste anything else, not even the seafood. It was in a small bowl so it was messy. My boyfriend's dish was tasteless, he said. He's Italian from the Bronx. We had another appetizer that I can't even remember what it was. And the main thing that really bothered me was that the food was rushed out. We were not even finished with our appetizers and dinner was placed on the table. Everything felt rushed. It was not an enjoyable night."

"Sweet life is amazing! I have been buying my family's birthday cakes for a couple of years now. The staff is wonderful, always willing to go the extra step to make your order absolutely perfect for you. You get to pick the time that you want it done, and everything about it. Their staff is obviously very dedicated and love their jobs, it shows in everything they do. I will keep going here for years to come. It is one of my favorite local Eugene businesses!"

"I have ordered the fried chicken dinner in the past and this time it was horrible. The size of the chicken pieces were a joke. You cant get the full gist of how tiny these pieces of chicken were via the picture, but they should be ashamed. The mashed potatoes had lumps of uncooked potato in it and the veggies were so over cooked it was like bad cafeteria veggies that had been sitting all day. The dinner was $32 including a cup of soup. There were other problems with my order, which for two dinners and dessert was $77 not including all the other fees for delivery and tip. It was quite apparent the kitchen staff just doesnt care or lacks skills. Just has gone down hill and for almost $90 for dinner I can think so many other quality meals I could have for $90."
