"We visited II Bel Lago for an appreciation dinner with buisness colleagues. The food and drinks were fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and attractive. The menu was top tier. We're definitely placing II Bel Lago in our top 5 favorites for Italian food in St. Louis. However, I will say that it was obvious that our waiting staff prioritized larger tables. Our waiter even left our table in the middle of order our entrées to attend to a different table. Overall the waiting staff seemed kind of wonky … – show"

"Owner and staff looked frazzled and stressed. Service was poor. Requested 3 drinks, but received 2. Took over 10 minutes before I went to the order station and requested the third drink from our waitress. Received it 5 minutes later. Mashed potatoes didn't have gravy so we had to settle on butter (not our first choice). Dinner was good. They didn't have a dessert menu so we had to leave the table and look at the display case. Since they had a large party on the patio (as if they didn't know that well in advance approximately 50 people) the dessert selection was minimal. The two we got felt and tasted like it was in the case for days. Prices were good, but given the other disappointments I probably won't be back."

"it was our first time here and we were so impressed by the facility and the people working there. the manager spent some time with us and she was so sweet. our server was also amazing. eating was very good, but not unbelievable. the portions were very small for what you paid and although my wife and I shared one appetizer and we both had a meal, I was starving. this is a beautiful place for a special occasion or if you want to impress a date, but not if you are hungry. still a very nice restaurant."

"This was the second time I visited Xixa and I must say still amazing. I needed a second go round because the first time I had the Chef Selection which was very daring for a picky eater like myself. Chef Selection was good for the experience but I prefer to select my own dishes. This time I got to do that and again amazing amazing... Something to keep in mind, I think the menu is printed daily, so that means some dishes change. Call in advance if you are looking to have something specific to see if its on the menu."
