"In a city of a thousand restaurants how fortunate we were to visit Modena. Staff attentiveness is above all expectations. Multiple staff approached us as we waited for our other guests to see if we wanted anything. Upon mentioning a gluten allergy not only were we pleasantly surprised at the many gluten free options available, including homemade gluten free pasta options and the best gluten free bread we can recall in recent memory. The antipasti was fresh and flavorful. The crispy fried artichokes were done in rice flour and beautifully presented. Our entire group's entrees were excellent, from the duck breast to the venison medallions to the excellent bolognese and squid ink pasta with gluten free chittara. Excellent cocktails and a well priced yet broad wine list, appropriately focused in Italy but with well thought out alternatives from France and US in particular. Dell was an outstanding server, attentive and mindful of gluten allergy even when it came to others' dishes in case of sharing. A broad assortment of Amari for those who enjoy those digestifs."
