While we were feeling the vibe and hoping for a relatively authentic experience, we got watered down, bland food with absolutely no soul. The food was what I 'd imagine someone who knows nothing of Italian food painting by the numbers. The service was dismissive and rushed, the house wine was a California blend (how does that make any sense in an Italian restaurant? . We upgraded to the Chianti for $13/glass which tasted like something you might drink out of a workboot after a hot day. The lasagna was the only thing that was serviceable. The reviews might be the most misleading I 've seen for North Beach restaurants. Warning: If you like Italian food, steer clear of this tourist trap. This place needs a full overhaul."
