"This is one of the few traditional cafes for a great Southern lunch, and it's the only one I got a recommendation for in Decatur, Alabama. There was a good variety of vegetables prepared Southern style...well seasoned and delicious. I had grilled ham with sides of sweet potato casserole and Italian green beans. It came with delicious cornbread muffins. The freshly prepared banana pudding was excellent, as well. If you want a real Southern food experience, I highly recommend City Cafe. The service is terrific, as well."
