"I've been to the Juan Tabo location specifically on several different occasions. Prices are reasonable and it's very easy to accommodate large groups. They do slices and several different sizes of pizza. The first time, I was a little skeptical but was pleasantly surprised. I was temporarily on a non-wheat restriction and was worried about going to a pizza/pasta place and not finding anything I could eat. They were able to reasonable accommodate me. On another occasion, my mom and I split the sampler (cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, fried ravioli, and fried zucchini). All of them were delicious, the ravioli a little kick to it. My dad had gotten the build your own calzone with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, olives, and then some. He normally has a big appetite and wasn't able to finish the whole thing. A few others at our table had gotten spaghetti and the southwest chicken pasta, both of which looked amazing. Another time, my date took me here. We were ultimately torn between the fried mushrooms and the calamari to start off with, but went with the calamari. Tender, peppery in a lemony sauce. Next, we went with a medium Mega Meat (canadian bacon, bacon, meatball, pepperoni, sausage, beef). The meatballs were the perfect touch and there were plenty of slices to take home. The cheese, perfect. And finally, we finished off with the chocolate cake. The cake is also to die for. At $10 per slice, it may seem a little outrageous until you realize it's like getting a whole cake that looks like a slice covered in creamy chocolate frosting. My mouth is watering over here just thinking about it. Just surprised that this location isn't as well-known as it should be"

"One of Chico 's greatest restaurants, hands down. I was tipped off to this place by a friend. Chico is a large city with myriad restaurants many of them being chains so I always welcome the opportunity to try a new to me, locally owned spot. The Foodie Cafe did not disappoint. The venue is in a large, newer business plaza, situated in the center of town with easy freeway access. While the location is central, it feels as though it 's off in its own little world, tucked away from the street. The location within the plaza is serene as it faces a large outdoor fountain. There is ample seating both indoor and out. I enjoy dining al fresco if the weather isn 't too severe. The first time I dined here was to celebrate the closing of my first home. It 's a casual establishment but elegant enough to be considered a spot to ring in a milestone. Right off the bat, I was impressed by the professionalism of my waitress. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in on me often. I also witnessed the owner checking in on tables and ensuring that all were taken care of. You don 't see this level of service often, so I was impressed. No complaints whatsoever. The menu was impressive, and I honestly wanted to order one of everything. Because this was a special occasion for me, I set my diet restrictions aside and opted to go all in with their impressive menu items. I ordered a boozy milkshake (an item the restaurant is known for) along with their meatloaf entree with the million dollar scalloped potatoes. I can 't begin to describe how flavorful the items were. The flavors were so complex yet worked so well. I wanted to scarf it all down but also wanted to savor every delicious bite. I left very satisfied. Major kudos to the staff and management of this amazing local restaurant. You have earned yourselves a loyal customer. I can 't wait to dine here again."
