"This is a fantastic place to visit with a group, especially if you have kids. The atmosphere is lively with the sound of TVs playing, and the paragliding decorations are adorable for children without being overstimulating. I should mention that it's not primarily a BBQ spot. I ordered a brisket sandwich, which was just okay, and the corn that came with it was soggy. However, the grilled calamari and the two Cuban sandwiches were outstanding. So, if you go in with the right expectations, I think you’ll really enjoy it. I also noticed that the bar area is quite nice, and there's a well-designed party room, which is good to know. I read some negative reviews regarding service, but I must say our service was excellent, even though it was a busy night."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for breakfast and had an amazing experience. The price per person was between $10 and $20, which I found to be quite reasonable. "Decided to try a new place this evening, huge mistake! We will never return! Other than our server being very friendly and attentive (even though we never got straws for our drinks, maybe they were out). The food was beyond the worst food I have evergotten at any restaurant, especially one who?s name fools you into thinking they have good steaks/fish/burgers. We ordered onesteak and baked potato, one steak and shrimp with mashed potatoes and one burger and fries. The steaks were beaten so bad onlyto make them look larger, they were very, very dry and too difficult to cut/chew. If you enjoy leather, you may enjoy thesteaks! My husbands steak was half fat and he left still hungry after paying so much for the food! Spending that much money onfood that my dogs wouldn?t even eat is ridiculous. I could?ve gotten the same food at any other restaurant and it would?ve beencheaper and much better tasting! How this restaurant has any decent reviews baffles me!"

"I actually didn 't plan on eating here, but I had recently moved to Sandusky and inadvertently turned left on Perkins Avenue with the intent to eat at a fast food restaurant which I very rarely do. I decided to backtrack when I saw that Dianna 's was open 24-hours. With the cost of fast food being the equivalent price to a serviced restaurant, I decided to give them a try. It was far better than any fast food restaurant and the price for a mushroom burger and fries was actually less than that of any fast food restaurant. I understand that some reviews express 'bland tasting food '; however, most food at any restaurant is neither served with additional seasonings nor condiments. I simply request mayonnaise on the side. I loved the service and the food. It was an excellent dining experience."

"Went yesterday August 10, 2017 for the first time. Since they were offering the hamburger and fries special for $5.00. Jeff was our waiter and he was very helpful and friendly as well as the other staff. The food was cooked to order and came out better than expected for a $5.00 hamburger. Everything was so fresh and plentiful. I was stuffed. The dinning room was very peaceful and CLEAN.....We definitely will put this restaurant on our list and try some of the other menu items in the near future. We were very pleased."

"I've been to Red Star several times, always in the evening, until my most recent visit. I've noticed that the service can be inconsistent—sometimes it's good, sometimes it's lacking—but the food is usually satisfying. Recently, while downtown meeting friends for lunch, they suggested Red Star. I typically prefer places where I can unwind, and Red Star hasn't been on my list for that. However, we went as a group of eight, and surprisingly, it turned out to be my best experience there yet! I ordered the fish tacos, and they were unexpectedly outstanding. If you enjoy a bit of spice, be sure to get them with a side of black beans, as they might be one of the best items on the menu—perhaps even better than the tacos themselves. My friends chose salads, sandwiches, and other standard options, which pleased everyone, but I have to say that those of us who ventured beyond our comfort zones and opted for the more unconventional dishes had the best meals."

"From the street really don't get a good view of the place, stopped in and gave it a try, was surprised at the menu, steaks, pizza, gyros, pasta, had the steak fajitas for two, food was fantastic, portions were big, service was great, prices were very reasonable, $6.95 for fajitas, took some home, kitchen was busy and all the food going by looked and smelled great, will try the shrimp italiano next time, drinks were very reasonable also, great little hidden gem in the neighborhood"

"We just finished dining at Joseph's and on the way home, all we could do was rave about how delicious our meal was! The salads were fresh and wonderfully crisp. Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without even having to ask. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Chicken Parmesan - calling it one of the best he's ever had! To top off the evening, we were surprised with a fantastic piece of Birthday cake and some lovely piano music. It was a nice touch and made our night even more special. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and we will definitely be returning again and again. Well done, Joseph's!"

"Great pizza! We ordered the stadium size which was huge! It had plenty of sausage and pepperoni on it. Two big pieces filled me up. We also ordered appetizers which were plentiful and very good. I can't wait to try more on their menu!"
