"In leaving another review, Tripadvisor asked if there were other locations nearby I could review. I've been to many of the Kelley's in the area, but come here the most as it's the closest to home. I've eaten there at all times of the day, breakfast and dinner, and have never left unpleased. My favorite would have to be the chicken fried steak, which is always huge. If it's not the best in Texas, as everyone wants to claim, it's certainly up there on the list. Thankfully they always offer it on their daily dinner special, which comes with three sides. I always have to get their carrot and raisin salad. With so many sides, along with the complementary rolls and cornbread muffins, many times I've had to take part of my dinner home. I love that Kelley's was started by an HPD officer, and have been touched that the staff have given me police and military discounts, by noticing the cards in my wallet when I pay my bill. Unless Kelley's takes a huge nosedive in their food or service, which I can never imagine, this place will always be on my dining list!"
