"We so looked forward to trying this place their website states that they are open for dinner starting at 5 pm! Well here we sit this uptown cafe isnt open at all! How lazy do you have to be to not alert the dining public that your operation is closed, has changed its hours/days open, etc? I doubt we will give them another opportunity after this incompetent failure."

"Drinks at the bar were weak. Food was awful. Rice was nasty part was mushy and overcooked, part was undercooked and crunchy. Meat was tastless and overdone. Nothing had any kind of flavor at all. I will never go back here for a meal again. Disgusting! Go any where else!"

"What a delightful discovery! This place embodies the essence of a Jersey diner! We visited at 10 a.m. on a summer weekday, and the spacious dining area wasn’t too crowded. "My friend asked about the rustic chicken sandwich on a sourdough roll and the guy just said no it in French bread, although my Italian sub came on a sourdough roll. He paid for our food and he charged me for a meal instead of just the sandwich. When I asked, he pointed to a little scratched sign on the counter that says cash and card prices vary. Trash and the food was a joke. Not worth $17 for something you can do at home."

"Great place, staff, and food. Very friendly and your cup of coffee is always full. My late Grandmom's favorite Diner. Going to miss this place. It was the annual, traditional July Diner of the month for many years with my Mom in honor of my Grandmom. But I had to go back to it one more time as the StarView Diner. So for 2023, it was the July and December Diner of the month. I'll miss the atmosphere, great staff, always warming up your coffee with a refill, and the decor too was beautiful. 1st went there with my Grandmom 15 years ago after church on some Sundays. Last time going there was today. I might check it out as Amy's Omelette House but it's not going to be the same. Farewell StarView Diner. And thank you"
