"Sometimes one gets up on the wrong side of the bed and needs to get back into bed and do it again. Last week I posted a less than flattering review after learning the kitchen had been closed even though the restaurant was still open. I had heard such good things about Red Chair and really wanted to try it, so was very disappointed. In response to my post, the owner responded and apologized, indicating all orders should be taken if put in before 3 p.m. on Sunday. He was gracious enough to invite me back to try again. I did with 3 good friends and was delighted by the food and service. My server, Rob, and his fellow server, Nick, were great. Very courteous, nice, and attentive. The food was amazing. We started with Kachemak Bay Oysters that were delicious. I had the 40 day aged rib eye steak with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Very tender and rich taste. My colleagues had the rockfish (excellent), the Navajo Taco Salad which was very good and had a bit of a spicy kick, and the Red Chair Salad which is like a Chef Salad but better. Wonderful greens and meats. I cannot highly recommend the Red Chair enough and am glad I had an opportunity to go back and give it another try. Thank you Steve for your kind response and hospitality.
