"This is one of our go-to restaurants, especially for special occasions. We were doing a wedding anniversary dinner, just two of us. Everything was delicious, although the pork chop was just a hint drier than it should have been. It was better than most, but not as good as the best I've had. Our server was good and reasonably attentive. But one of the runners brought someone else's food to our table and sat it down. I had to tell him it was the wrong meal and he looked very confused. Turns out it belonged to the next table. I do think they took it back to the kitchen and either refired it or remade it. The complimentary tiramisu was a wonderful gesture and we appreciated it, candle and all! It was good, but not the best we've had there. We want to split a pasta and the pork chop, and even though we specifically requested this, thought brought each item on one plate. We had to also request additional plates and then fumble at the table to do the split ourselves. I would not generally expect this at a restaurant of this caliber. Definitely took things down a notch. iL Fornaio always comes through but somehow it doesn't seem to be as good as it has been in the past. Still better than most Italian restaurants in town, though."
