"The staff was very friendly, and made a good effort to get a seated reasonably on time for a show that evening. We ordered an appetizer , grilled octopus, which was tasty, not amazing because it was chopped w lots of filler . Unfortunately both dinner entrees were mediocre. My stuffed lobster tail was tiny with 1 tablespoon of stuffing. The lobster was undercooked. my husband’s veal was slightly over cooked. My vegetables were hard and undercooked. the linguine was done well. Disappointing."

"Service was great. The food was good. My girl had an act on Risotto that was better than my Ravioli. The owner worked there the room that is a nice touch. We had no reservations, but got a table for two without waiting. The staff ensured that we received our order before ordering a large group nice, thoughtful touch."

"My girlfriend and I stopped for an early dinner a couple months ago and were genuinely surprised how good the food was as well as how much fun Jena our waitress was. We've been back a couple more times since and were not disappointed by our meals. The food is always excellent, the price great, the service great regardless how busy the restaurant gets, serving size is amazing and Jena always remembers us!!! We will always request her to be our waitress every time we return which we will. Please share this with her and tell her Mark and Wendy do go to Mangias for her attentiveness, her efficiency and definitely her personality as much as we come to enjoy the amazing food!!! "This is a delightful family-owned traditional white tablecloth Italian restaurant. On bustling 55th Street, but comfortably quiet and cozy inside. And the food is very very good with many choices. You can go with 3 or 4 courses if you wish, but we were well satisfied with an appetizer and a pasta, and generous glasses of wine. (It is important to save a little room for dessert ! You know you’ve picked well when you see a local family with a stroller pops in for dinner, and everybody is smiling."

"Excellent food and service. My first time here. I ordered the special Bronzino dinner. It was beautiful and delicious but a little spicy for my taste. Without hesitation the waiter insisted they make me another which was perfect! I’m dairy and gluten free and delicious food is hard to find in many restaurants. I was also thrilled with the lemon sorbet artfully plated with a currant sauce. And sipped my peppermint tea for a relaxing ending. Definitely coming back!"

"I went to tuscana Friday night it was absolutely a must see place to visit. This restaurant isn't no fake Italian, it's REAL Italian food. Once you walk in you will fall in love. my girlfriends n I said this is a place where you can get proposed too, have a wedding party rehearsal, have a romantic dinner tonight out, maybe have a business meeting because it's quite but I don't though check it out first; don't want to be sending the wrong message to your clients. I wish I would have tried their desserts but we got there late n didn't want them waiting on us to leave."

"I went there with a friend and she is gluten-free, so she ordered the truffle risotto, which was amazing and I ordered the lasagne that was a little underwhelming, but still good. would not get the truffle ries again $17,) as it was an Italian restaurant and hoped it would taste more truffle. we also ordered a glass of wine. I ordered the malbec and she first ordered a pinot noir, which the waitress had very suggested and then sent him back because it did not taste like wee. the prizes were a bit high for what we have. the decor is interesting and location was close to the autobahn entrance, so it was a little loud. overall it was pleasant and I would go for it again if not only for the truffle."

"Everytime I call Fresco’s I say the magic words “I’d like to place an order for delivery”, my pup Rex goes crazy because he knows I always order him a speacial treat…it’s usually grilled chicken but tonight I ordered him meatballs. When placing the order I was laughing at Rex, I told the lady on the phone Rex’s reaction to the magic phrase and she laughed and asked his name. When my order arrived, there was a note for Rex with some grilled chicken…. He was soo happy! Thank you Fresco!!! That was soo sweet!"

"The house salad and the garlic knots are the best things about this place. Absolutely delicious! I came after church with a group of about a dozen people. We had a reservation so they were set up for us. Other than a couple of other tables, we had the place to ourselves. Service was slow but we were ok talking while we waited. Unfortunately, our dirty salad dishes sat on the tables and it was difficult to get the entrees on the table because of it. One of our party didn't receive her meal until after everyone else had almost finished eating. Apparently it was left off the order. The server should have caught that had she come back to check on the meal, but she didn't. Once that was taken care of though, that item really should not have been charged on the tab. I ordered a pasta dish with scallops and shrimp. It came with 2 scallops, 5 shrimp and 1 shrimp tail. The seafood was overcooked so it was tough, and all I could taste was some sort of vinegar (balsamic? . I shared a limoncello dessert which really tasted like nothing more than lemon sorbet. The meal dishes were also left on the table for far too long. I have been a server and know what a hard and dirty job it is, but making sure diners have a good experience is part of the job and good service gets rewarded with good tips. The service here was below adequate. Other than the salad and garlic knots, I was disappointed overall. I might go back sometime and try something else from the menu but it will be a while before I do. I need time to get over the disappointment."

"Great food! Only complaint is they don’t want to sit you unless all of your party is there, even if it’s a party of 3. The owner or manager literally came to our table to ask us why our 3rd person hasn’t arrived. He was in the parking lot on a conference call. It was only 11:30am and hardly anyone in the dinning room. We felt very uncomfortable as they all stared at us unit my husband sat down. We even ordered our meals to keep them at bay. This is nonsense."

"We went here while staying in Westwood. This is on the second floor of a shopping center, and is very cool inside. It was a Monday night so it was not that busy. We noticed Italian tourists eating outside , and they seemed to enjoy it. We did as well. The food was excellent , made by a real Italian chef, and the family was very nice . "We went to Toscana Oct 30th for a Bachelorette party. Our reservation was at 6:30 we LEFT the restaurant about 3HRS LATER!!!! Not by choice! First of all we had a table of 126 people had one waiter who was GREAT! The other 6 of us had a waitress that was absolutely horrible!! The 6 people with the waiter all had salads which the other 6 of us were not even offered...not sure if they cost extra or came with the meal because she didn 't even tell us about them. Then ONE meal came about 15 minutes before anyone Else 's. The waitress 's comment was the rest of the meals should be coming soon, but I only have 2 hands Don 't we all??? Anyway... the rest of the people at the table finally got their food...all 6 people at the one end, and all but 2 on our end. Our waitress disappeared after the food was delivered, and we finally had to STOP her to let her know that 2 did not have their food...she just went oh...I will check on that ...no apology etc. She came back and had to ask the 2 people what they ordered again. One of them could not remember the name of her meal and asked for a menu which the waitress said she did not have!!! YIKES! Well, their food came out fairly quickly, but by that time the rest of us were done eating. The 6 people with the waiter then received their checks and had paid for their food before we even had checks. Once again our waitress came out and said that she had dumped her book and needed to know again what we had all ordered. OMG!! So, she proceeded to the back room to write them all up and brought them to us...and once again disappeared. We all decided that we better pay cash if we ever wanted to leave because God only knows how long it would take her to process a credit or debit card and bring it back to us! I don 't know how long this waitress has worked at Toscana, but she obviously is either in the wrong profession or needs A LOT more training. Not once did she refill drinks, etc. if we would not have had the waiter on the other end that would not have been done either. Not once did she apologize nor offer a free desert, or discount off the meals...NOTHING!"

"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite reading good reviews and it being located in Brentwood, I had high expectations which were not met. I chose this restaurant for a business colleague's birthday celebration, but regretted my decision as soon as we arrived. The ambiance was dark and gloomy, with an excessive amount of items cluttering the dining area, making it feel more like a liquor store than a restaurant. The service was extremely slow, with the owner being the only person serving, hosting, and managing the reception. There was only one cook in the kitchen, and we were the only guests in the dining area. Unfortunately, the food was only average. Overall, I would not recommend returning to this restaurant."
