"you should be surprised in here. we arrived early to portland for a Saturday night concert in wonder ballroom and conveniently located below the venue is the bunk bar. I matching name for a funky restaurant something under the class give them the quasi feeling, actually in a bunker (minus the windows). pass by the AC/DC Penball Machine, watch the chalkboard menu and place their order at the bar. Our barkeeper was friendly and helpful with suggestions declarations. their specificity here is sandwiches and they do a good job.I order a menu special shrimp po boy. the garnels were slightly baked and roasted with salad, tomate, pickles mayo beautifully. the garnels were medium and juicy. it was difficult to eat the sandwich without the garnels falling off. each of the ladies was pulled pork sandwiches and immediately admitted that they should have shared one. they both enjoyed and had remnants to boot. I recommend checking this place before a show. they have a full bar much, which is much more extensive then what is offered in the event along with a handful of microbrows on tap. We noticed that they were closed when we went out sometime after midnight. it's strange considering that it was a Saturday night and I'm sure they could have caught some of the watchers on the way. No matter, it's a great little food stuffed under the ballroom."
