"I have been dining at the restaurants at Portola Plaza Hotel for the past 15 years, enjoying many meals. Jack's has always been my go-to spot for business breakfasts and lunches. However, since the recent renovations, I had not visited the Club Room for breakfast. When my largest client asked to meet on short notice, I suggested meeting for breakfast at The Club Room on Thursday morning. I made a 9 a.m. reservation using Open Table for the next day. Upon arriving a few minutes early, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked for the week and that the Club Room was not open. When I mentioned my reservation from the day before, I was met with skepticism and rudeness. This experience was insulting and embarrassing. It seems like the hotel is not interested in catering to local residents. As a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future."
