"If you're a coffee connoisseur, you probably won't like their coffee. They pulled a double shot of espresso for me which was sour. I was expecting a smooth blend given Perks is a legit coffee shop and roastery. Maybe the bean wasn't good or the extraction was bad...who knows... Also, in my opinion, espresso should be served with sparking water, but at Perks, you will have to buy one. I also ordered a matcha drink which came out really granny and bitter.I did purchase a few bags of beans to see how they come out when I brew my own espresso. I will come and update this review later.This place is awesome for a tour and to see how they roast coffee. You do need to book the tour few weeks ahead.The shop also has a pleasant atmosphere. Their pastries and muffins are okay. They taste good if you get some latte with them."
