"All the vegetarian food items we tried here tasted very delicious. The coconut chutney and ginger chutney served with Dosa and Uttapams was freshly made not something where most restaurants refrigerate and serve) . The service was good too. When we arrived it was early lunch hour and not much crowd, so chef noticed our party had kids and he prepared the spice level accordingly, without request that was really nice of him Thank you, Srinivas). We also tried the Veg Kheema biryani, for first time and were blown away by the taste. We will definitely visit again.Kid friendliness: Service catered to spice level of the group"

"Great spot for Indian vegetarian food. We ordered their Daal, baigan Bharta (my favorite dish, and they really aced it), curd rice and chai! Loved everything! It is one the the best Indian food we have had in the US. We are visiting LA and will definitely go here for some more meals during our stay Edit: went there again yesterday for dinner and tried their gobi Manchurian and bhindi fry. Great taste! Edit 2: went there again Tried their Puri, Butter Masala Dosa. A 1!"

"This restaurant is very well organized and convenient. They offer large portions at reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the waitstaff was very friendly and informative. I highly recommend this place."

"Fish fry was burnt and tasteless. The aloo poori arrived with something that might have had some aloo, but was basically a tasteless gump of vegetables and daal. Didn’t look like the dish on the picture. In fact the poori itself was a bit tasteless. You have to work hard to make me not like your poori."

"I made reservations for 8 for a work lunch. We were the only customers in the restaurant except for 2 others who we were eating but were employees. We were promptly seated however our server was not friendly and I did not see him smile once. We had the feeling they wanted to rush us through our meal to get us to leave as quickly as possible. While I’m not sure, I believe they were shooting a commercial or taking photos of the restaurant and were waiting for us to leave. Many of the people in our group were unfamiliar with Indian food and had questions and asked for recommendations but the server didn’t take the time to explain anything or make suggestions , he said everything on the menu is good. He cut me off when I asked him a question which was very rude. Additionally one the entrees never came out and when we informed the staff there were no apologies. The restaurant was very warm, there may have been an issue with A/C. The only reason the restaurant didn’t receive 1 or 2 stars was because the food was great. Every dish was extremely flavorful. Some of the highlights were the dal, samosas and tandoor chicken. We ordered about 10 different dishes and I would order each one again. This restaurant has other locations and I will be trying the other locations due to the poor service."

"This restaurant has become one of my favorite ! PRASHANT is the go to guy ! So soft spoken and friendly ! Desserts are so yummy ! I loved the chili chicken, Chili Veg, and Shrimp biryani. GARLIC NAAN BREAD was awesome ! They have a very extensive menu and I would be trying out most of the items. Great place for family and friends gathering. Owner is a sweetheart too ! Luckily they are few blocks away from where I live, so I'm in trouble . Ty and see you guys !"

"This restaurant offers a 100% vegetarian dosa menu. A friendly waitress helped me choose vegan options such as idly, medhu vada, samosas, poori, fried bread with potato curry, gobi manchurian, and a spring dosa with carrots, cabbage, and chili - my favorite! I also enjoyed the spicy mysore dosa. During my last visit, I tried the spicy tomato, ginger, coconut, and mint/coriander chutneys, all of which were vegan (but always double-check to be safe). They also serve pots of sambar (great soup) and encourage customers to bring their own utensils, napkins, and water from the bar."

"I already enjoy Indian food, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a $10 buffet that evening (on a Thursday). There were so many options that it was impossible to try them all! The staff was incredibly helpful, especially in assisting one member of our group who has dietary restrictions, guiding her toward dishes she could enjoy. As a vegetarian, it's always a delight to eat at a place where I don't have to worry about limited choices on the menu, and Masalaa is entirely vegetarian. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, and you can't beat the price for such a wide array of tasty Indian food. I live in downtown Denver, so it's a bit of a drive, but I would gladly make the trip again to enjoy the fantastic offerings at Masalaa."
