"Good ingredients, well prepared. Husband likes things hot while I don't need them, but in any case our meals are cooked to perfection and full taste. We've been here for over a year and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the shrimp, but I also enjoyed the steak and the chicken. Each variety is tender, juicy and tasty cooked, never overcooked. Price is appropriate for the amount of food and preparation. Can be crowded from a Friday or Saturday night, but I never had more than a short waiting time. Also excellent for lunch."

"First of let me start by saying that every negative comment I see on here is such bluff. This place is so underrated. When you first see this place from the outside you ask yourself dang do I really want to go in there? It’s not the fanciest looking thing, but the food and service definitely makes up for it. I have gone a couple of times with my husband and friends, they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and the food is cheap annddd the service is amazing. It is a very humbling experience. You sit there surrounded by the most humbling people on earth. It literally reminds me of Mexico and how great the people are. I have even seen the owner a couple of times and he always greets us with love. If i had to recommend some food I would say go for the tacos!!!! Best tacos ever. Get the pastor tacos! Even better than Polo’s taqueria which is way overrated and has the worst customer experience. Don’t knock it till you try it. I will continue coming to eat tacos here."

"My partner and I wanted to check out this place since we saw it had great reviews and the reviews were not lying. I ordered myself a burrito dinner with chorizo while my girlfriend ordered the bistec in green salsa. The chorizo was very flavorful and the rice and beans were surprisingly very delicious. Usually rice and beans are hit or miss, but they really nailed it here. My girlfriend’s Bistec in the salsa was amazing. The spice was not overwhelming and actually added flavor to the meat. The horchata was also very good and not too sweet. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Mexican food. I believe that this place is better than tapatio."

"The Menudo Grande is delicious! The only 2 issues I have are 1, When you have them add the Pata de Res (Beef Feet) the meat and bone is so large that it takes a big portion of the Hamony and the Tripe out of the to go orders. I asked in special instructions to separate the two but no answer. 2. The Pata de Res IMHO is not cooked enough it's hard and chewy."

"Everything was perfect. Gazpacho was different and delicious, coconut bread was excellent. I have the braised pork with corn porridge and it was so flavorful. Husband had the steak and it was big and delicious and perfect cooked. Even the sautéed spinach was great. Will def go back"

"I gotta be honest, this place was disappointing. I was expecting really flavorful dishes (I ordered the Egyptian lamb and my partner ordered the Talapia), but the food was quite bland and the serving sizes were oddly small given the price point. Beyond that, the service felt unprofessional or poorly trained. Our main server could barely answer the couple questions I had about different dishes, and then the other server clearing our plates tried to remove our appetizer of plantains while there were still like five full pieces on the plate! It was very odd. Beyond that, they didn't come to fill our water once during the meal, which felt sort of important given the sodium levels of everything we ordered.Overall, we left feeling as though the message of the restaurant (which is really fantastic) overshadowed the less-than-memorable food. It's not a cheap meal, either, so overall quite a bummer."

"Ive been trying to find some really good Mexican food since I moved to Fairfield and this place has the best tacos that ive had since moving. The tacos are filled with plenty of meat and they taste so good, especially pastor! The pozole is also so good, it reminds me of my mom's cooking and it tastes like it was home cooked. Definitely would recommend you either or both!"

"Craving birria tacos. The house was great. Images of the handmade tortillas convinced me. I was the only customer here and they took 10 minutes. Two tacos and one consome ordered. I was disappointed when I got my tacos. They came to the store bought Tortilla's tiny yellow, and it was a pinch of meat not cut yet in one piece. They gave me green salsa and usually with Birrie expect you red. All the food is edible, I would only continue to go the lack of customer service."
