"I visited Shokudo for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved it. The food was authentic and delicious, and the restaurant is owned by a Korean couple—the wife has spent some time living in Japan. My Japanese wife ordered the Hamburg Steak and Tonkatsu, and she said the Hamburg Steak tasted just like what she’s had in Japan. The portions are generous; we couldn't even finish the Tonkatsu. The kushiage was also incredibly tasty. I would definitely return just for the Fish Cake and Fish Ball kushiage. My wife particularly enjoyed the Lotus Root kushiage. The service was friendly, and the owner checked in on us to ensure we were comfortable without interrupting our conversation. As a thoughtful gesture at the end of our meal on Valentine's Day, the wife gifted us three Ferrero chocolates. Needless to say, Shokudo definitely won over my wife!"
