"After writing a poor review, based on three prior experiences We once again visited FHP. Shortly after my review, I was contacted by the ownership of this unique eatery. They assured me they were aware of the issues outlined in my review and told me they were working on them. To be honest my concerns had nothing to do with that pie... a true God send, of biblical proportions. This is pizza head and shoulders above any other I've eaten. Our last vist proved me wrong on my original review. A smooth evening of service and attention.... And that Pie OMG! FHP is a true success story. They promised to work on issues and delivered. "Wow the best breakfast I have found so far in this kc city!!! The spinny Benny eggs Benedict that my wife was amazing that it was made as it should be done. And I had the Benny cookie a great breakfast. This breakfast meal blows the competition out of the water. I went to breakfast every other week on site for the last four months, and Pegah's is the first breakfast I found worthy of five more stars. And I tried all levels of restaurants for breakfast on site! Many have to be short from there hyped up ad of the best breakfast!"

"Always wanted to try this place so we stopped in. There was a slight wait for no reason at all but we were seated after the host was done chatting with his buddy and grabbing his buddies to go order. Very irritating but we forged ahead. We were seated at a table for six when it was only two of us. Not a big deal. We placed our order and it took over an hour plus to get our food. Mind you, it wasn't busy and people who arrived way after us got their food before us. I'm no complainer so we patiently waited. We ordered a patty melt with fries, steak and eggs and two bloody Mary's. We didn't end up eating the food because by the time it got to us, we were ready to go. However, later that night when we ate it, the patty melt and fries were really good. The steak was super tough but everything else that came with the steak was good. Everything had good seasoning and the bloody Mary's were phenomenal! Our waitress was new and rung in our bloody Mary's wrong. She rung in a virgin for me and the Maria for my husband. Not sure where the virgin came from. The bartender quickly corrected it. However, with that mistake, it made me think she forgot to ring in the food and that's why it took eternity to get. She offered us a fruit bowl to hold us over. All in all, not the best experience and I doubt we'd return. However, the food was really good."

"What a great find! My friend and I were headed to the zoo and wanted a hearty breakfast. We prefer locally owned and found Pena's Donut Heaven Grill. It was amazing! My friend ordered the Pena breakfast and said it was delicious! I had the Migas and they were sooooo good. The tortilla strips were the right combo of crunch and texture. The eggs were seasoned well and the refried beans were flavorful. But the potatoes! The potatoes were perfection! Delightful spice and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend you try this place out. Next time I think we will try the donuts!"

"Nice spot in San Carlos, solid eats, very affordable, excellent selection. Pretty much any food you'd want at a diner: full breakfast menu, soups, chili, salads, pasta, gyros, burgers, steak, fish, nice sides. They have 3 lunch specials, rotating every day of the week many breakfast specials. I like the Italian Sausage Scramble, 1/2 Chicken Dinner everything I've eaten there has been legit."

"You say “Powder pork” and I’m like Pavlov’s dog Cuz I start gravitation towards Jake Roadhouse. I found this place in the summer of '08 when I first discovered the Friday night Farmer market on Myrtle Street. When I walk around, I could smell all the grill that was cooked, so I followed my nose. If you order a pulled pork sandwich at the stand, its about $1 more than if you just go over the street to their store. Her pulled pig is by far the best I ever had. The meat is perfectly marinated and very delicate. The sauce is brownish. I also heard from mouth propaganda that their raspberry lemon pancakes were legendary, so I had to try it one morning. It has a light sweet tar flavor. It was divine with a glass of ice cold milk. Your land breakfast is also very popular, which is very sweet of raspberry lemon pancakes, 2 eggs, sausages and potatoes. This is too much for me, so I usually only the raspberry lemon pancakes. Again, I am a creature of habit, so I usually always have the same thing, so I rarely venture from the two items described above. I have many friends here in the last two years and they all loved it. They are very easy to arrange even group meals. I have their covered back terrace with heated lamps for a large breakfast that I once hosted. The ambience of the place is very up to earth with red tablecloths, vintage license plates on any available space on the walls and sawdust peanut shells on the ground. Yah, kind of like Lucilles, but much more to Earth. Anyone who works there is super nice, including the waiting staff. I never had a problem there, whether in or to eat. You also have a few benches outside, which is great if you have just seen a movie a few shops down at the Krikorian Filmtheater. This picturesque Myrtle street offers a very nice walk to any day or night time. Big suburb. Parking is usually never a problem since there are many adjacent street parking spaces and private business areas. Simply read the characters and observe the parking times limits to avoid tickets."

"It looked fine until I had the first bite. As a person who have been eating tofu and beans for a whole life, I know exactly when the beans products has gone bad. You could literally tell by the stickiness of the texture, taste and smell. All those signs hit me so hard that I had to spitted out the tofu. It was so gross. I went to informed the person at the restaurant but they insisted that it was totally ok to eat. (They just looked at the tofu and not even try to examining it). Well, I have been cooking tofu with spices for year. I know how the tofu texture supposed to be like. I insisted that I don?t feel comfortable eating it so restaurant ended up offering to replace the tofu for me. At first, I thought they were going to give me a new bowl because the spoiled tofu already mixed with other stuffs in the bowl. Turned out that they just picked out the tofu and put other vegetables into the same bowl. How cheap, inconsiderate and poor service they are. Highly NOT RECOMMEND this place."
