"My wife chose Webster House for dinner for her birthday. She couldn't have made a better choice! Our dinner was fantastic. Every grain of rice in our risotto was perfectly al dente. Our salad was perfectly dressed. My salmon was cooked, to the discernability I have, a perfect medium. My wife's scallops were seared neatly and were deliciously buttery. The service was great as well. We felt accommodated without being harassed. The timing of our meal was nearly perfect. As one course was removed from the table the next appeared mere seconds to a minute later. We both had Ol' Fashioned drinks (from the menu) and they were balanced perfectly."

"We got married at The Milling Room on 11/13/221. I debated not writing this review because I want to keep how amazing this space is a secret for just me. We were looking for a venue that was big enough for 90-100 people but still small and intimate, a place that could fit a dance floor but didn 't feel huge, rustic but chic, and The Milling Room fits all of this. Hannah is badass- she was on top of everything the night of the wedding, throughout COVID changes, and throughout the 1.5 years leading up to our wedding day for everything else. The space barely needs any additional decoration because it 's already decorated so perfectly as is. We had our ceremony right in the space at the fireplace/mantle. If you 've been here for brunch or dinner, you know the cocktails, food, and dessert are already slamming, the bar itself is gorgeous. All we needed to do was add some candles and 'moody fall ' flowers as the chef 's kiss for our wedding. And on top of all of this, it 's affordable. We feel so lucky to have gotten married here."

"After reading many reviews here and on Trip Advisor I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to eat here as anytime anything critical was said the Chef/Owner seemed to respond very defensively and aggressively.. What that ultimately meant to me though was that the Chef/Owner is passionate about what he is doing and takes pride in the product they put out. Our server did an excellent job and was very attentive yet not smothering. He was knowledgeable about the food. He explained the specials very well and it was a long list of them! For an appetizer we had the mushroom tart and it was excellent! My wife and I shared a wedge salad and the blue cheese dressing was what made that so good! Unfortunately as soon as we finished our salad, the entrees arrived. Way too early. For entrees my wife had the crab cakes which was one of the specials. The flavor was very good although being from Maryland we are used to jumbo lump crabmeat and while it was very good it didn't seem to be jumbo lump. I asked the waiter whether he recommended the venison chops or the rack of lamb and he said he would check with the chef. I said bring me whatever the chef recommends. He brought me the rack of lamb and just like the menu says it was a full 18 oz rack of lamb! I have never had that much lamb served in one dish. It was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. A couple of minor issues the vegetables (carrots in particular) were not cooked enough for my liking. Doesn't mean they were bad they weren't. They were just harder than I would have preferred. A bigger issue was the table we sat at (a two top) had one chair and the other seat was on an upholstered bench with cute pillows in an alcove. The seat was too high for the table and my wife was uncomfortable after a few minutes as she had to lean over. You expect a lot when you dine at a place like this and for the most part they more than live up to that expectation. I would definitely go again when in Williamsburg."

"We had our date night here and really enjoyed the atmosphere and our meal. We shared a few appetizers and both had the steak as our entrees. My steak was cooked a tad more well than I had ordered, although it was still tender and had a great flavor. The eggplant was a favorite for us both, that itself could be made into a main dish. The service was friendly and on point. Wine was great especially with the cheese. The mussels.. My. Oh. My.. amazing."

"My fiancé and I got reservations for our anniversary at 8 on Saturday night. We were in the cozy lower area. Since it was the end of the night, we ate for three hours and never felt rushed. We tried a ton of dishes and they were fantastic. Since they serve tapas, be prepared to order 2-4 plates each. Great for sharing. Our waiter was super nice and told us about the chefs. He did kind of disappear at the end of the night. My only complaint is that I wish there was a better variety of cheese for the cheese board. Also, if you were like us and got tons of dishes, it does add up in price. It was great for a special night out. I would love to go back as they change their menu seasonally."

"My friend and I had an interesting experience here. It was our first time and were greeted by the owner. We asked if we could use the 2022 Axxess card and received a roundabout answer. Once seated we asked again and he said yes and told us our server would be right with us. Ten minutes later our server came with used menus and hibiscus infused water. Neither my friend nor I were fans so we asked for regular water when she came back to us. My friend ordered the Curry Vegetable Stir Fry and I asked our server if she recommended the red snapper or catfish. She responded that they were out of the catfish, so I ordered the Red Snapper fillet. She informed me that that night the red snapper was actually the whole fish, not just the fillet. I said I would try it. Our food arrived and my friend really enjoyed her meal, but I picked at the fish and unfortunately got some bones in my mouth. It didn't taste like much and it came with plain rice."
